Promoting adult toys? - your thoughts please

as affiliates, getting some good conversions from paysite sponsors are not going good these days, would you consider promoting adult toy stores instead?

What are your thoughts about this?

Only do it if you can find a company that ships worldwide. You will find that less than 50% of your traffic is US/Canada traffic, so if you are using a hard goods sponsor who only ships to the US/Canada, you are only capitalising on less than 50% of your traffic.

Think about this: If your sponsor is only accepting US/Canada orders, then you are paying good money on bandwidth to give free porn to people who cannot buy from you. And this payment to give away free porn works out at over half of whatever you spend on bandwidth!

The only Toy program I use is Fleshlight and it does pretty well, so I should maybe look into it more.

That 'Real Touch' thing looked promising, but I am not sure if they are selling. Anybody doing anything with them? I haven't sold any since I signed up, but I'm not selling much of anything these days.

Allow me to state that we (fleshlight) run 30% commissions on sales that are typically +$120. It's a non-competing product (except with...you know, competitors) and stats of affiliates are looking lovely.
