I see alot of "dont use sponsor content" - in rules..Im not sure I understand this? Isnt that what we all use? I mean unless your pushing your own Paysite or an AVS site with bought content...but what else would a FS builder use as content for their galleries?

Some webmasters buy content for their free sites. In seven years I've bought two small sets of content, other than that I use sponsor provided content and it's never been a problem for me. I concentrate on three sponsors that update their webmaster content area on a regular basis so I have fairly new, unseen content to use. I've never seen a link list that says "no sponsor content", just some say "no overused" sponsor content. Find a sponsor that updates their webmaster content area on a regular basis and grab it the day they post it and you should be good. I submit to about 50 link lists including "the big boys" and have never been rejected for using sponsor content.

Some of the long time submitters know that using bought content gets you much better traffic and sales - unfortunately most of the people that use sponsor content are pushing sites that are very saturated and are seeing real bad ratios
Some LL owners have that rule to make sure that you understand that using sponsor content is probably the worst move you can make if you are in this for the long term

I used to buy quite a bit of my own content and in my experience it didn't improve either acceptance or conversions.

I can understand the overused argument, but many of the content sets WMs reasonably can afford to buy consistently are just as overused as sponsor content.

It also doesn't make sense to me to promote a site with content that can't be found in the members' area once the surfer signs up.

From a freesite builder's POW the single best argument for using your own content is that you can do what you want with it. If the sponsor goes bust just change the ads on your old sites and you're good to go. If one of my major sponsors went out of business I'd be in a bit of trouble.

From an LL owner's perspective, if content from a particular sponsor gets over saturated, I'd just have to limit the number of sites I accept that promote that site. It's tough, but that's how the game is played (but it hasn't been a major problem for me yet).

Yeah I can understand the over used stuff. Its the same with Galleries..Ive never been rejected personally for it.. but I know some get rejected for "seen before" or "overused" content...just wanted to get the jist of what the benefit/downside was

I've never been rejected for using sponsor content. I have thought about buying some content so as to advertise multiple sponsors on one gallery.

if i have seen the content to much, i decline, thats the reason for sponsor content, most newbies will use it, content to buy isnt expenisve anymore and all can buy some.

Not for nothing Rich..I think we have a SHITLOAD of fresh content at GMP Cash that many havent seen. We offer very unsaturated content to promote our sites and thats because there is just so much of it.
