Alternative Sign Up Methods?

Is it common practice to pick a sponsor, promote them for years using one method whether its CCBILL OR NATS, whatever, and when I send traffic, there are ALTERNATIVE join options?

CCBill (Credit Card or Phone),Pure Vanilla, or
Mail Order

I felt with the traffic I'm sending and the fact my sales have dropped this was odd, then I discover there are MANY methods for the sponsor to offer for the surfer that I will NOT get credit for?

I'm just curious, is this common? Or kinda sneaky to the webmaster putting time, money and effort to convert to a sale

Fancy admins (NATS, MPA, etc) have the ability to track all of those options (even the check by mail - the form has a code on it that is your affiliate code)

If you're promoting a program thru CCBill link codes that offer those options, you do not get credit for anything other than CCBill processed transactions.

These can be beneficail to you if you get credit for the sales.
For example we just integrated NO credit card and you will get paid on phone sales. This is really usefull for european surfers who dont have credit cards and are unable to do eurodebit.

The more alternatives the surfers gets the better the join ratio. We are also working out a contract to add a thrid biller to our casacade to try to get all the surfers possible.


Like greenguy said on ccbill sites you will not get credit for those sales.
Luckily its not a really big percentage($ wise) so dont get discouraged.
