Freesite review
Hello again everyone
For well over a year I have thought of doing this and for one reason or another didn't. Now, since I have finally joined the ranks of the full-time adult webmaster I thought it a good time to get some feedback on a few sites I have created. The following have been submitted and accepted on most of the sites I submitted. Some may remember the content as I work the female bodybuilder niche. I'm looking for critique to really fine tune not just these sites, but rather my overall presentation. Please check meta's and anything under the hood and if you have any suggestions on marketing technique, text, or other options, please chime in. I know just enough to be dangerous so every learning opportunity that presents itself is vital. Thank you Woodspan http://www.auntwoodies.com/free/venus/ http://www.auntwoodies.com/free/melissa/ |

I want to set the record straight - I thought the cop was a prostitute

Actually, I think that your free sites are a good way for a newbie to learn how to put text on a FS.
You have a lot of good sales text on your pages, you optimized sites for keywords (although it could be better), you have bulleted lists of features for easy reading, model bios/details... In other words, you have done a very good job there. You might want to use <h1> keywords in tour site <title>, in sales text (near the top of the page) and image alt tags. Also using <h1> keywords in meta description and keywords could be good. |

Thanks for the help. I realize much of this should be elementary, but I'm a "show me" learner who does much better when I see it done so I ask alot of questions to try and get a visual picture in my head. |

However you do keyword optimization, it won't bring you much traffic for a free site. That coming from a non-SEO-expert.
I've been experimenting with various approaches, and found one that works for me: use small number of keywords (3-4) in one phrase, everywhere on your site. That includes <title>, <h1>, <img>, <meta> tags and actual text on the page. Go for 3-4 keyword phrase, and be sure to target lower traffic keyword phrases because competition for them is lower. Don't overdo it, one repetition in all tags and 1-2 times in body text. As for img tags, I'm not sure - I put the same alt text on all images (eg alt="cute-teen-stripping-01.jpg", "cute-teen-stripping-02.jpg", etc). When you submit your site, you'll get a link from LLs with keyword phrase in anchor text and the link will come from similar themed page, which I believe is good for SE rankings. 10 SE hits a month times 200 free sites is 2000 SE hits a month. It could make a difference for your bottom line. I didn't count SE images search hits in that. I get a lot of those but it doesn't do much good. /This thread could go to "Search Engines" |

I see what you are saying Johnny. Such simple things really. The alt tags would be the most daunting as that might be a pain for each one. I've used overture before, but that was some time ago. Most of what I do.....or the success I've had is by accident I'm sure.
I'll do some further research. Thank you for your help. |

Keywords for your research might be "TheDowser" and "Arles Image Web Page Creator"
They might save some of your time |

Hey Woodspan. I'd make the ENTER links larger than the EXIT.

Johnny.....thanks a ton for those links. Probably just saved me a day of "I have no idea what the hell I'm looking for" research. Greatly appreciated.
Scream.......Yep........I agree on the Enter/Exit comment. Actually, I could probably just do away with the Exit altogether and make that Enter much more obvious. Thanks for the input. Woodspan |
