Pr?
I've seen this posted around a lot but what the hell does it mean. I got an email from a fellow webmaster that told me his index page had a PR5 and his member pages were at PR4
I know it has something to do with search engines / page rating but can anyone tell me exactly what it is and how its measured and how to find out what PR rating a page has?? thanks Jonathan |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

PR is Googles system of page ranking.
You need to install the google Tool Bar to see page PR's

Are you sure this is the Sci-Fi Convention? It's full of nerds!

yeah, pr stands for page rank and there is a whole big formula to figure out what yours is, but like TijuanaPat said, get the google tool bar
basically your PR depends on who links to that page and how important they are through who links to their page. that is one of the reasons you see niche specific reciprocals to linklists now. |

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?

The better your pr the more traffic typically you will get. Not always the case but if you do searches you will see that the higher pr sites come up first (most of the time)
