Help Finding Adult Fulfillment Services

Does anyone know a good resource for a list of providers that warehouse inventory that I own, and then ship it out as my orders come in?

NOT dropshipping..

I have seen quite a few that do fulfillment, but they often will not do it for adult products.

THANKS!

Wow, I have no idea about any of this kind of stuff. Makes me realise I'm definitely only involved in the virtual side of this business.

I was going to ask "what is fulfillment?" but that would be just asking for a bunch of smartarse comments LOL

In my previous stint here in Vegas (1992-1997) I ran a company that manufactured packaging (mugly brown boxes etc.) but NOT content to do just distribution, we also inventoried, stocked and shipped product for select clients as well as doing contract packaging. One of our biggest clients was a distributor of adult videos (prior to dvds).

Maybe I should think about doing this again.

The reason I had asked, is that I have done a ton of research, and only found distributors, and fulfillment operations that discourage clients that contain product of an adult nature. ( By charging excessive fees etc.)

I am the VP- Business Development for a very large fulfillment company that services startup to mid sized businesses, and I have always felt bad, when we have turned away potential clients.

Over the last 6 months, I have setup a sister company, so that our core business can service those clients that are not of an adult nature, but the sister company can.

The nice thing, is that our core business has been around for a long time, and is rock solid, so I know the business, and the market. But, I also know that there is a need to service the adult industry.. ( without raping the clients with excessive fees. )

How many of you actually own the physical products that you sell? Are you having many of them dropshipped instead?

There are a couple of things that I will bring to the market, that could help the industry..
1) Consolidated purchasing. basically, my clients will be able to pool resources, so that everyone gets the benefit of deep wholesale pricing. (this is just a service I will offer, to help my clients make more money. I won't bill anything for this service.
2) Protection. The web based control panel, where ship instructions are placed, will field out zip codes where adult products cannot be shipped.
3) Cross-linking. My clients will have the option to cross link products between each others' websites.. if clientA sells vibrators and clientB sells strap-ons, they can work out a deal, to make each others' products available on their own sites.. (since the items will be warehoused in the same physical location, this will be easy.) This will reduce the investment required to experiment with alternate products.
4) We have HUGE shipping discounts.. one of our partners is Ford, so we are negotiating with close to $300M of shipping expense. This will allow me to pass a savings onto my clients, so they will have a bigger discount, than they would on their own merit.
5) The biggest benefit to outsourcing fulfillment, is that it pays for itself immediately. No labor expense, no physical space requirements, but most importantly, it allows a client to focus on marketing and sales.
We handle all of the "physical stuff."
6) Geographically located in the midwest. If you know anything about shipping, you understand how expensive it can be to ship from one side of the country to the other. There are "zones" in shipping. The further away the package travels, the more expensive the shipping expense. zones range from 2 to 8. LV to NY for example would be a zone 8 shipment.. quite expensive. By being located in the midwest, 78% of the zip codes we ship to are zone 5 or less.

I have a ton of other ideas, but how do you think I am doing so far?
