Anti hotlink for flash

Does anyone know a good script that I can use to stop hotlinking of .flv files? htaccess won't do. I like the look of http://coldlink.com/ but it's only for windows.

Take a look at PhantomFrog, although it may be more than what you need.

Could you use htaccess/mod_rewrite to hide the location of your .flv files perhaps? Wouldn't deny hotlinking, but if they couldn't find the true location of said files, they wouldn't be able to hotlink them.

How would you do that UW? A conditional rewrite that only works on your own domain/ip?

That would be perfect, I read some articles that were using both php and htaccess to do just that but if there's an easier way please do tell

One way might be to have your CMS rename the file every hour, and update the link on where ever u have it.

So for example, if its blah.flv.... store that in ur db then on the hour have a script 1 rename the file, then 2 update the html to reflect the proper path/file name.

Technically someone coujld hot link your flv for like 1 hour max BUT, maybe u could do something with that
