TGPX FHG question
I just got TGPX and wanted to have about 30 to 50 sponsor hosted galleries rotating daily on my main page. What's a good number of galleries to load up so I don't have to update it for a while?I'm going to update it with new content but I want to have enough galleries going so I don't have to update it if I don't feel like it.
How many galleries do most TGP's usually have stored in their data base?It takes a long time to load them and crop the thumbs so I wanted to get some feedback from experienced users before I create unneccesary work for myself.By the way I'm only using my own sponsor hosted galleries in the database. |

Hey Star Man
Don't know the answer to that, but I just installed TGPX and still have to figure out how to make it rotate the galleries. Any tips? |

No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you

Hey Star Man,
I can't give you a direct answer to that question but you could try doing the math. If you're showing 50 new galleries per day...That's 350 per week, 1,500 per 30 days, 18,200 for a year...You can use the Permanent Holding Period setting to help control how often your galleries recycle. Hi TekAngel, You'll need to create a tgp page template to define which galleries are pulled from your database and how/where they are displayed on that page. Try using the Template Wizard to get you started and check out the text files in the examples directory that came with TGPX. I'm getting ready to leave, going on vacation, so I don't have time to be more helpful at the moment. Use the TGPX Tech Support board...There's a lot of good info there... Regards, SF |
