WEEK FOURTEEN RESULTS I’ve been putting this off for several weeks now but I think it’s finally time to talk about the NFC East. This once mighty division has become sort of the “pointy-hat-wearing fat kid in the corner” of the league this year, and I guarantee you that no one who knows a thing about football would have predicted the Redskins at 6-7 would be this div’s leader (and currently headed to the playoffs no less). Dallas at least has their “we lost our QB” excuse, sort of, but the Eagles and Giants have no excuse whatsoever. Especially the EAGLES, but either one of them should really be owning it right now.... except they aren’t. They’re not out of it yet of course, but.... are the Deadskins really going to the playoffs??? Some years it seems the later in the season we get the crazier the games get, and this year is one of those. Raiders getting sack after sack on the Broncos 2nd stringer and beating them, a team that was NOT all QB and was winning even in spite of Manning’s so-so performance. Wow, I never thought I’d see it. Jacksonville utterly destroying Indianapolis, again wow. And Carolina the ONLY undefeated team?? Just wow. For those who feel they are out of the running for the top prizes remember: there are two other prizes that may still be within your reach....

Some of you newer players must have gotten a major surprise in finding out that these post-season playoff games come with a lot of extra points.
A few guys really cleaned up big in Wildcard Weekend. This week's Div. Playoffs will be no different; a lot of points are on the line, and to anyone within striking distance -- here's your shot to make up some ground. Too bad about the Vikes, soooo so close. Here we go people. The best weekend in football is about to start. At least according to Chris Berman that is. The longtime football analyst is predicting a Patriots LOSS, a Denver WIN, a Packers LOSS, and a Seahawks WIN.

Sunday's games were by comparison to Saturday's a bit less dramatic overall.
BRONCOS WIN! ~ In spite of about a million dropped passes Manning & co are off to face Brady & co for the AFC conference title next week. This will be the 5th time the two arguably greatest QB's of their generation will go up against each other in the post-season. SEAHAWKS LOSE! ~ It looked like it was going to be a massive blowout by halftime (31-0) but at least they came back to make it a contest in the 3rd and 4th, but too little - too late. Anyone still wondering if Carolina is the real deal wonder no more. They will face Arizona for the NFC conference title next weekend. Lots of points still to be won in the 3 remaining games. Anything can happen in the top 10 mathematically. Picks for the two Conf. Championship games are already live, but you have all week to think on it.
