Saturday October 10th (aka Up Early For No Reason)
Morning!
I got up to tinkle a little after 5 & decided to just stay up. This means I will absolutely be napping today, as I have an online draft tonight at 7. How can today's low temp be 46° when it's currently 39°?? We started September with like 10 straight days in the 80° and a month later, it's 7° from Gonna work til The Bitch gets up in about an hour |

Good Morning
I got to sleep in today. Didn't get up until 7am. Feel like a slacker but I guess I needed it and it was nice of the cat to let me sleep for a change, he usually comes meowing before 6. So Greenie is 7° from snow and we are going to be 7° from 100F today...WTF. So very tired of these heatwaves (especially since it's October) and this one runs till Wednesday before we are back to upper 70's Lots of work and recorded tv to watch so better get to it. |

Low temp here is hot and humid.
Didn't go to bed until well after midnight and actually managed to sleep in this morning. It's Pride weekend here so going to the festival today and tomorrow to do some networking and meet with friends. |

Hand still hurts. I learnt a valuable lesson yesterday. If a lady is about to fall flat on her face, don't try to help. Instead let her fall and get ready to laugh. It is what God wants.
Puppy News There are four tennis courts around one of the parks where I walk the puppy, so he often finds lost tennis balls and expects me to throw them for him. Today, while we were walking both dogs, the housekeeper found a discarded soccer ball, so kicked it for the puppy. A soccer ball is a lot larger than a tennis ball, and apparently, to a ridgeback, is a lot more scary! Instead of chasing it, the puppy ran away from it. She tried a couple more times then gave up. On the way back we passed the ball again, and the housekeeper tried again to interest the puppy. This time she got him to chase after it, but always stopping two to three feet from the ball, and refusing to approach it in case it was dangerous. Then she hit a badly aimed kick. The ball flew at the puppy and hit him squarely on the nose. He ran! Now he won't go anywhere near soccer balls. He thinks they sometimes attack. And when they attack, he thinks they punch you on the nose! |
