Grrr.... Fucking People

I know this has nothing to do with business but I have been having a terrible day and just wanted to vent.

My daughter comes home Sunday afternoon from a camping trip with some 'friends' who work with my girl friend.She says she hurt her arm and as I question her she tells me some pretty crappy stuff.

Turns out she was playing on a swing set and the swing broke while she was high in the back swing and she went flying.
She says that she could not get up so she started crying and yelling for help. Eventual some people came along and helped her
up.

When she tells them what happened they said she was faking and that someone had put her up to it. Now imagine this is a 10
year old kid and these are the people that are supposed to be her fiends and looking after her. And other than them she is
all alone there. She even said to me that one girl even told her to go ahead and sue her because she does not have any money
anyway.

I guess they brought her to a nurse there who basically said she was fine. So they stayed the final night and brought her back
home on Sunday.

Now with her telling me that it had happened the previous day and that it was basically dead weight I knew it was bad.
So I gave her mother a call to have her come home so we could take her to the hospital. Turns out that the lady that had taken her camping had called my gf and said that she was faking and not even hurt.

So we took her to the hospital and found that her arm was totally broken near the shoulder and was just hanging there by the flesh.So they called in a specialist who wanted to get her into surgery right then but since I had feed her while waiting for her mom they could not do it then and she had to stay until morning.

This morning comes along and they could not just reset it like they had wanted so we had to transport her to a different hospital with better equipment and she now will be getting cut open later this afternoon.

Since this was looking like it was going to be costing us a good amount of money I thought I would try get contact information for the campgrounds insurance. So we tried to contact the lady to get the name of the campground but she would not give us any information and she said 'they' were taking care of it then hung up. Never to answer the phone again.

After finding that it would be at least another 5 hours before she went into surgery again I decided to go and talk with this ladies husband. On the way home I passed the place were they all work and the Ladies husband was waiting for her to get off. SO I went in and talked to him a bit. When I asked about the campground he said that I would have to talk to her about that. Then we were discussing the accident and she basically told him to shut up and to not say anything.

So I thing what the fuck? I am only trying to get some insurance info from the campground. There should be nothing confusing about it. Why does it have to be such a big deal? Why does this ding bat want to choose to protect a campground over a 10 yr old girl? Let alone put her own ass in the line of fire.

So now I am her all strung out getting ready to return to the hospital for my daughters second surgery and steaming over these fucking people who were supposed to be 'friends'.

Grrrr...

Whoever was supposed to take care of her (the 'adult') really should bend over backwards to try and help you any way possible.

I agree with Surfn on this. Although people think we sue each other too much, sometimes that is what is needed if the guilty don't understand they are responsible for things.

Thanks for the support everyone.

They got the second operation taken care of and she now has a couple pins holding things together until it has time to heal. She really did good considering everything.

After she got settled back into her room I had to leave because I have to get up in the morning for my new day job

Her mom is going to stay the night with her at the hospital again tonight so she has some company.

Also my gf thinks that the womans sister may be the owner of the park so that is why she is being such a pain.

As for what the name of the park is. That is one of the problems. The lady will not even let us know that so we can contact them.

Anyway.... I had only planed on getting with the insurance company of the campground but it is really looking like I am going to have to get a lawyer involved and smack everyone involved.

Need to get some sleep now though. I have been up way to long and need to get up in the morning.

amadman get a good lawyer and clean house.

My daughter broke her arm on a camping trip in Mexico years ago and I still vividly remember the mad dash for the border and a state side hospital.
Not a good feeling at all when your daughter is hurt.
I was shocked how She handled the pain She just went into sleep mode. Slept the 4 hours to the hospital and basicly slept nonstop for days untill it didn't hurt that bad, I hope your daughter can do the same

I am not a person that normally would encourage sueing, there are way too many trivial law suits that do nothing but tie up the courts.

BUT.... this is one situation where you should get yourself a lawyer and sue the pants off of everyone involved. It's bad enough that they didn't have your daughters injury checked into properly, now they are making it difficult for you to get the information you need.

Sue the stupid jerks so they know that a childs well being is more important than cutting their weekend short!

I think Big John said it just right. I have a 10 yr. old daughter, and I think the police would have been involved already if the bitch would not give me the campground info. I am normally a very calm person, but fuck with my child, and my head starts spinning around in circles.

They did not discharge her yet today

I guess I will be taking the day of tomorrow to pick her up and get a hold of a lawyer.

We did talk with the police and they went to talk to the 'babysitter' who told the cop that she would call them tomorrow. Like she don't know what campground she was at.|raygun|

On a good note we found a different babysitter.

For those who are wondering my daughter is home and doing well.

I managed to find out what campground it was at by searching online myself.

The people there were very helpful and even concerned about how our daughter was doing. They also gave us all the information that we needed to contact their insurance company.

So I am going to see if I can get a fair shake without a lawyer first.

That's good news too. The babysitter probably doesn't have any money so suing isn't going to help with her.

Glad to hear your daughter is home and doing better. It never ceases to amaze me how irresponsible adults can be when it comes to watching someone else's children. Best of luck with holding them responsible. I have 3 children myself and could just imagine your anguish.
