[Question] - Linklists accepting blog?

I seen some linklists accept blogs.

What I want to ask is, do you accept the blog entry page?

or u accept posts urls submissions?

I accept both, but I'm thinking of integrating a blog onto the index as well as the category pages. I'd allow guest bloggers to post directly to the blog, but I don't know if anyone would be willing to do that.

Blogs are good link backs for any site.

Link Lists should accept them for SEO reasons.

Blogs are probably the best links a link list could get. Arguably better than a link from another link list.

What about blogs on free hosts like thumblogger? Do you guys accept these or are they treated like free adult hosts and freesites? UW, guest bloggers would be a great way to add more content to your site and I'd be interested in that.

I'd accept them, but then again, I don't review. My lists are under the careful supervision of my submitters. If they aren't complaining, I'm not complaining.

It's a feature I definately want to add. I've tried a lot of funky little things on Pervespace that haven't garnered much interest from webmasters. Someone actually gave me the idea, it may have been HowlingWulf, to have full blog posts integrated into the main pages instead of running on a separate less trafficked subdomain.

I think you could get some interest in the way of guest blogging on your site as webmasters would get an immediate backlink and promotion of their blog post. You'd get content and hopefully more traffic.

Assuming that you have free sites, blogs and blog posts.

Then you will list the all under each category and in the end of each entry say it's a FS, B, BP?

You could also just have the webmaster submit their RSS feed and then there wouldn't be any need for submitting each post or entry and all purposes would be solved. Content for you, links for them.

Currently, when webmasters submit a link to a blog root or blog post, they select "blog post" on the submission form. When the links are published, It says if the link is a free site, blog post, gallery, or other. All links, no matter which type, are published together in their chosen category page..

That's too complex for my coding skills, aggregating into different categories and such.

Yeah it's not easy to implement a rss reader from scratch...
Also you would have to get some cron jobs to pull the feeds from time to time...

But the think could get easier if webmasters submitted the feed for a category..

Wow.. pretty awesome man. I tested it and it worked perfect. Listed 5 of my blog posts instantly when submitting feed. That would work great if you could setup a submit feed for each category, then you'd be all set and the webmasters would only have to submit one time per category.

Well the problem here is controlling the link back to the LL...

Now a day u have a free site linking back to the linklist..

If the linklist lists some of the posts for a rss feed, where is expected to be the linkback to the link list? in the post? in the side bar?

In theory you could have a feed of your freesites
and you would add the free sites to the feed and linklists could also list them....

Right, I understand if you require a linkback to list their content. But, if you didn't, you may get more submissions and have more time to spend on linking rather submission queues. The freesite index page recip links are probably not too powerful anyways IMHO.

Was thinking the point to accept blogs was to give the LL's more textual content but I understand many would want a link back. And I agree with building your own blogs with your own feeds as well. But, that's probably just another part of the overall process as you could use your own blogs and your own feeds to get more traffic and hopefully link juice for your other sites.

If you are submitting your full length blog posts to a link list via RSS, you're running the risk of screwing yourself via dup content. Google usually realizes which site is the owner of the content, so shouldn't penalize your blog, but it wouldn't be doing any favors for the link list that's republishing it, especially in a post-Panda world.

With the idea of guest blogging, one would hope the bloggers are creating original posts. Otherwise, what's the point? Of course, a lot of people, especially in adult, would much rather create content for their own blogs and would never consider guest blogging, even in a situation where all of the links would be theirs.

I have read that the dupe content is a myth. But I'm sure there are many that feel it is not. I don't know that bloggers will all create unique content but if they do submit to your site then they get links back to their own blog as well.

I steadily make money with posts on my site that were republished as is...
