Afro John says: "Touch The Extreme Afro & You'll Be In Extreme Pain!"

Finish work sucks
Ok, as some of you might now Ive been a little scarce lately because im working on opening a Tanning Salon, which is about 2 weeks from being opened.
Well because I like to try and be a cheap fuck sometimes, I get these bright ideas... 1) Fuck it we will do the tile ourselves, all 2000 sq. ft of it...... Needless to say I gave up on that and paid someone to do it. 2) Fuck it Ill paint the place myself..... Ok, this we did (thanks to the help of some great friends and employee's), but there's still 2 bathrooms to do and cut in work touch-ups.... I DONT WANT TO DO IT!! 3) Oh, Ill paint the Doors and the trim around the doors...... 2 Weeks later, no doors completed, just realizing this means I have to caulk the fucking things, caulk the things wrong 2x... I QUIT Im paying someone to do this too. 4) Ill prime and paint all the moulding inside the rooms.... Contractor explains that this also needs to be caulked..... I will now quit prior to even starting and pay someone to do this shit too. IT'S 2004 WHY IS THIS SHIT SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! |

LMAO
I'm glad it's not me. I shingled my roof in the fall with a couple of friends (that know what they're doing) and never a-fucking-gain. I hate hard labor. Painting? I can do that and just helped a friend do 3 rooms in his basement at the end of Jan. Still hated it though. LOL On a good note, sounds like your getting close to the exciting day. |

It's just inherently a pain in the ass. It always takes twice as long and costs twice as much as your most pessimistic estimate.
Don't you just fucking hate that long limbo period when the basic work is done and there are 10,000 details to finish off? Before the income starts coming in, and money is as tight as a bankers heart? The worst period of almost every job. Which leads to the grand old tradition of opening up before the job is done, and spending three months of extra nights fixing and finishing. |

John
Companies do the same things with their computers. They hire people to operate and maintain them figuring it's cheaper than paying an expensive computer systems analyst like myself. They even spend the money to send them to training and certification processes. Eventual at some point push comes to shove and they are down and their guys are clueless and the come to me, and if I have to go in behind their fuck ups they are charged through the nose, and beg to get things running. All in the name of "savings". lol |

Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip!

Slightly off topic, but...
Is this an old-fashioned tanning salon or the air-brush stuff. I need a base tan in Florida! I'll be your first customer if you're anywhere near me, my skin is WAY too white to fit in here.|shocking|
