Australian Net Filter Gets The Green Light
There's a lot of very angry Aussies right now, including me.
http://www.smh.com.au/technology/tec...1216-kw7d.html Twitter went mental with the announcement, huge number of comments, people are really pissed off. The plan is to use a blacklist to filter "refused classification" content. According to our stupid classification laws, any fetishes are included in RC, including spanking, wax play, BDSM, piercing. They even think that female ejaculation is a "fetish." Any hint of violence is also out. This means that Pirates was originally banned because it featured an animated sequence with two skeletons having a sword fight. They had to edit that out to get it into Australia. Are you rolling your eyes in disbelief? It's embarassing. If anyone has suggestions about a good place to live in the US, let me know.
