First freesite and some questions
Hey Guys,
I finally finished my first freesite and would love to hear some comments about it. The page isn't submitted to linklists yet because I don’t like the buttons on the index. I'd prefer simple text links but most linklists on my list, currently about 75 sites, seem to recommend these ugly things... Anyway I tried a bit of SEO work as well but I wonder if I did it right. Here's the page: http://chancesforyou.com/fsites/asiagirls/ The domain was planned to be for testing only but now I'm thinking about using him for the first 40-50 freesites. That way I could find out what niche fits best for me and could buy a fitting domain then. Ah and in the end another short question. I saw a "Recip Url" line in most of the linklist submitting forms. What exactly am I supposed to fill in there? Hope I'll get some response  Maro P.S - I want to build one freesite and one TGP each day in the near future but I really have no clue where I am supposed to place recips on TGPs  Last edited by Maro; 2010-09-01 at 03:05 PM.. |

I'm no expert and don't own a link list but there are some thoughts: 1. You need to centre your reciprocal links. 2. The graphic has on the warning page has an outbound link on the lower right side. I would add a "tool tip" so the surfer notices it as his/her mouse hovers over it. 3. Your ad copy needs improvement and expanding (but that will happen over time). There is a ton of free porn out there. Why should a surfer whip out their credit card and buy a membership to the site you're selling? The recip URL in your sample is http://chancesforyou.com/fsites/asiagirls/ . The page where the link list can find the URL back to them. Otherwise, I suspect that it quite worthy of listing. ok Maro...
i'll start with your last question...a recip url is the page where they can find thier link back to them at(called a recip. link)...usually the same entrance page you are submitting and you must use the full url...including the index page... like the one i have been submitting today http://www.local-strippers.com/april/index.htm and keep that page open as well as your site while i go on with a quick review for you.. first, the entrance page needs to be quick loading, so no heavy graphics..it is the first and easiest place for the surfers to back out on...make it load quickly.. so get rid of that huge sponsor graphic and go with a banner and text..and make sure it's NOT hardcore...in short no dicks or pussies shown..tits are ok...it is your warning page...must be softcore only or link lists won't list you.. next, your recips...they are a mess arn't they...link lsits don't like that...and if you look at my page there again, you'll see how i tabled them...most will take that no problem..so create your own table of links and you can have 40 or so if you like and you keep them looking neat... you have this text on the entrance page there: click for more pictures... you don't tell them they are leaving the site, and as such many places will consider that a blind link... nothing on the enter page can be even close to a blind link...so get more creative and make sure the surfer knows they are going somewhere off site.. your enter link doesn't have to be huge, just clear and easy to find...you want your sponsor linked text the be the star...its the reason for the site...selling the sponsor.. main page... "over 1500 hot girls waiting for you" gallery1 dude that is as blind as the day is long.. half the surfers will think that link right above the gallery link is connected to the gallery link...thus again you won't get listed with blind links! it should be something more like: "over 1500 hot girls waiting for you at (Sponsors name), click and check out each of these exotic beauties and for the first time, thier raw hillbilly cousins from the darkest ancient mountians of asian" - - - - enter my gallery1 something along those lines... get creative, but not blind.. gallery pages... thumbs were ok, but full sized pics were to small to get listed at the major link lists..they need to be at least 1200 pixels total...thats length + width and get more creative on your ads on the site...use more text, descriptive and selling text...make that surfer want to go buy that membership.. and use some different ads...using the same one on each page of the site is jsut going to get it overlooked... there you go man, you asked...now it's in your ball park  good luck!

Thanks for your response  @Voltar To be honest, I'm a bit speechless right now because I had the feeling that the site was quite good. But it is as you said I was the one who asked for and hey - Who wants it easy anyway? I'm going to make a checklist tomorrow and try to fix the site as good as I can. But I think there could be a problem you mentioned that the full pics are too small. Well they're the biggest downloadable content I found there. Glad to help, and well man... just remember that there are no perfect sites...just read and reread the link lists rules..i suggest you follow http://www.link-o-rama.com 's rules..that will get you listed at about 90% or so of the places..
and once you have submitted on a regular basis..amybe 50-100 free sites to the link lists, you will know how far you can push things..and get better listings and get to know the people at them...they are very helpful with reg. submitters..you after all are providing thier content...it's a friendship type of thing that builds over time with them... and not telling you the site isn't good, it just needs some tweeking and work before you submit it...you did right by posting it and getting a review prior to getting not listed and maybe blacklisted for blind linking...

oh, and as for the sponsor content issue...
talk to the sponsor..explain to them you need some 800 by 600 pics for sites promoting them...so you can get listed at the major link lists.. if they don't work with you, then i personally suggest trying other sponosrs... but i usually use my own content..which i suggest you do as well in the future..it really doesn't cost all that much nowa days...you can get bundles for 50-100 bucks that you can use to build with for 10-20 free sites..and many content places have low cost content series at under $10 ..that you can do one or two sites with.. it is part of doing business...

Hey Fellas,
Instead of a rework of my first freesite here's a completely new one: http://chancesforyou.com/fsites/thainee0/ The content is from a new sponsor which i found yesterday, its maybe not the best around but at least better then my previous. I like the simple straightforward layout, but the blue on orange for the links are a little hard to read at least for me. Red background is not looking too good with the orange either. I would use a hover property for the links, too.

first off...better maro,
but here are some more things to tweek on it, that you should be able to fix pretty quickly.. i would add a sponsor link under the enter link too...you can have 3 of them you know ..have 3 for EACH of your pages..you look like you only have two on them.. this makes it more likely to make you money.. and i agree with LD about the blue on the orange...can't hardly read it...try white, but black usualy works well on orange... Plus you made a mistake...What is the name of your site? it's not on that enter page there, just that huge unlinked sponsor banner at the top(which can NOT be used there..shes sucking a dick and riding a cock in the top right hand corner..you can not have hardcore on the entrance page)...you need a name..call it something, and it can't be anything close to your links or sponsors name...like Petite Asian Twister or Tiny Twat or Asian Firecracker..ect.. and you are making your pages to wide..at 1055 its over the 1024 max for most places...and i'd suggest keeping page width on average around 800 wide... pics are fine now... remember to add more sponsor links..general thing to do...sponosr links at the top, middle and bottom of each page...after that you can get creative with them and add some sales text with your banners

on your next one, add more text around your banners...talk the surfers into buying and going to the sponsor a bit more.. but well done..rock on!

The site is submitted to 18 linklists yet, former 21 but I had to remove three of them. I wanted to create some templates today but I'm not sure how they should differ from each other. Just in their colours, the table structures or ...? Maro |

the entire site layout, how the look of th site is to the surfer..including colors, ads, tabling and so forth...start from fresh and go new..i usually get very creative on the galleries and thier layouts...with different elements shuffled around a bit and tabled or not on the entrance and main pages..

don't do that man,,,,they take time to list you...in fact some can take a couple of months before you are listed...so have patiance and build on...
unless you recieced a denial from them..and then fix that problem..but yea have patiance...its very common for link sites to have backlogs of weeks... build more and get them out there...

There are only a couple of places that are actually worth waiting a month for a listing, so keep this in mind. Also, some places do not send an accept/denial email so you will have to check if it was listed. In the beginning it can be frustrating but you will figure out in time who does and does not list your stuff.
Voltar mentioned earlier about following the LOR rules and I recommend this as well. If you can get listed at Greenguy's Link O Rama then you should be listed at 95% or more of the other lists you sub to. They review and send emails within 48 hrs so you know quickly if your site is good enough or not. Plus, if you are listed there and other lists do not: F them, hit the next list button and move on. |

Well guys I got to say this forum is just awesome and I'm realy impressed how many people take themselfs some time to answer all of my noobish questions, thanks!
I'm leaving the first homepage now as she is and submitted the second one to Link'O'Rama. I read the rules three times now so there shouldnt occurre any problem. I also signed up at GetScoreCash for a second niche and hopefully get accepted soon. So maybe my next post here will contain a screen of my first sell ... wish me luck Maro |
