Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all
|
??? Have a look to the other sites. There you will get most of the info already

Traffic is always a big plus No visitors = no sales.....

Are you sure this is the Sci-Fi Convention? It's full of nerds!
|
You won't find a 1,2,3 step guide anywhere. I'd say either spend the time as an aff pushing traffic & sales to others for a while and use that knowledge to do your own site.
Or find another program/webmaster/other person to either setup/guide you through the whole process. But as DonPaul said above, no traffic means no sales and no sales means your up a creek without a paddle. -N

well, it's not promoting the paysite, or marketing to it or anything
it's more tying together the inner structure of the paysite, thats is the only thing that is confusing me right now are there pic minimums? movie minimums? whats the going gallery generators in members areas? what are some top paysite tour/design companies, etc etc |

Creating a paysite?
-an idea, content, processing, tour and promo material -content management to handle all the updates. A good one will run everything for you from making thumbs to updating automatically when you are on vacation Ok design companies? templateempire, webinc, dickmandesigns. Content to start? Depends on what the site is. Solo girl can be 20 pic sets and 20 movies maybe. Generic site like teen or boobs you will need 5 times that. Inner structure? Sort the content by photos and movies and if it is a solso girl and you add "friends" to add more content to the site then have a friend section. You can also sort by hardocre, blowjobs, toys, ect. solo girl or not. Processing? ccbill unless you have the money to go with mpa3 |

JScott, I'm sure you know from your background more than you realize. Think of the tools you like to have as an affiliate, and the things you like/dislike about the programs you promote. Which we both know you have a healthy list of . Hash it all out and form a plan, the rest should fall into place as far as hosting and such.
One of the biggest "mistakes" that I think people make is they launch their program with just a CCBill account or something then make the switch to NATS/MPA etc later on. If you think you will use the Cascading/xsells/webmasters tools etc, then you should just get setup now and not a few months down the line. Hit me up on icq if you want to chat. |

CCBill is a good way to go. If you decide to move to cascade later and use "an overrated affiliate program" (as someone else said), it can be done without too much pain. There are lots of programs that do pretty well with CCBill alone (ask Desirae, Spunky, etc. LOL). 20 pics and 20 movies would be the minimum I would start with. We started with less but looking back, we should have produced more pre-launch. Content management is a big issue, manually doing html gets to be a major pain in the ass very quickly. I built my own CMS, after doing the manual html thing and using AWW for a while. I am sure you know all the goodies you want for your affiliate program after being on the other side of the fence, so provide what you expect of your sponsors. Knowing PHP will be very helpful, in providing some of the stuff. If you have other questions, let me know.

by LOTS of content, do you mean you have 50 photo sets that have variety and are optimized for your member area? are the pics high quality and do they show the personality of the model?
and again, LOTS being in the eye of the beholder, most of the single model sites i review don't have lots. they have very little. do you have 20 or more videos over 8 minutes each or 30 videos over 5 minutes each? do they look sharp and well lit? are they optimized at a bitrate and quality level and size so they are competitive with other sites and look good? if you have the content but still have to optimize it, you can save time by having the design done while you work on getting things down to size. but first go through EVERY pic set. find only the best pics - the ones that are the sexiest, the ones that show the model's personality and the best lit. make sure there's variety, some pics with smiles and that some are close ups and some are medium or full body shots. those are the only pics you should send to your designer. if you order your tour, member area, affiliate pages, banners, fpas and fhg templates at the same time, make sure the designer starts on the tour and member area first as you want them finished first followed by the affiliate pages. that way, once you're done setting up your member area and tour, you can work on the affiliate pages while banners etc are being done. if you don't have the server, get it now. either start uploading 24/7 or mail your host a harddrive and have him put everything on your server. come up with a basic file structure for your member area and make sure everything is where you want it to be. if not, move things till they are. by now you should have a member area template. put up at least 10 videos and 20 pic sets with descriptions, thumbs, everything. if you have a tour, you can put together at least one page and the join page. now you have a little member area, a tour and can submit your site to ccbill. in the meantime, you can keep adding more and more content to the member area - it'll be over a week till you have visa. in the meantime you can put your affiliate pages together. once you have either 30 pic sets and 12 videos up or or 40 pic sets and 20 videos if you want to shoot for better retention at the gate, you're ready to send your site to some review sites and your first affiliates. |

I know a TINY bit of PHP, and the content management I will be needing help on, along the installation of the billing, I plan to go with CCBILL. The affiliate program side of it I think I can handle, I will put the basic tools, hosted galleries, banners, link codes, zip files, POTD's all with the cookie remember code (a hassle when affiliate programs dont have the cookie thing in place) Thanks for your comments and suggestions, I will hit you up if I get stuck somewhere It's still very early right now tho, I'm still working a LOT on the content THANKS THANKS |

love the info, that is what i'm looking for content, so far, i have about 10 pic sets, only a few movies (bj and some candid), and going to a beautiful resort this weekend to shoot some typical beach/resort/bathtub/shower/wettshirt etc etc sets. the quality of the pics are decent, i take them myself , i am an amateur at this, but i want the site to come across as more "real" and amateurish tho about the file structure, i'm not sure the easiest way to organize the pictures in the members area, programs? site depth? i dont want to have to do all this manually thats for sure! and whats best gallery generator out there? i want to give each set a nice long descriptive text and thumb (in members area) and i want updates to show on tour page also, what about pennywise? security? do i need to know about this or is it all to do with my server manager to deal with that? again, basschick, your info and suggestions/comments/tips were GREAT |

......oh, and also, how do you estimate how much bandwidth you think you'll be using up?

In the area of security, I have been using PhantomFrog. This is some very nice software that will pay for itself quickly. One of the things that is the bane of a program owners existance are password trading sites. He has incorporated Geo-IP into the process to minimize false positives on password traders and provides for Members to reset their own passwords. There are also versions that limit bandwidth and thwart brute force attacks. It integrates with CCBill nicely and is cheap and worth checking out.

You could put a paysite on 10Mbs server as long as it has good RAM, processor ect and you'll be fine IMO. |
