Sunday June 24th (aka SURPRISE!)

Morning!

My oldest stepdaughter turned 40 a couple weeks ago & even though we were all told that she does NOT want a surprise party, she's getting a small one today at 4 at a local restaurant & bar

Kinda sucks that her sister is still in the hospital (there's still fluid in her lungs) but if Corky taught us anything, it's that life goes on

I was extremely lazy yesterday. I did work til about 2 or so, but then I fucked off on the couch watching TV. I 1st watched Whip It! which is a roller derby movie starring Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore (who also directed it), and a slew of other familiar faces. It was decent

The next movie I watched needs a little explaining: I woke up about 3 AM Saturday & I'd left the TV on. There was a 70's blaxploitation movie on that looked kinda cheesy, so I searched & set it to record the next time it aired. Since I was being lazy, I decided to watch it On Demand & that's when I noticed the date of the film: 2009! The movie is called Black Dynamite & if you're a fan of the Wayans' brothers I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, then you're gonna LOVE this movie!

Good Morning

Yesterday I was really sore from doing more yard work and became lazy enjoying heat and ice. i watched both Football games yesterday while I talked with a friend on the phone for a few hours as he was on a 10 hour drive by himself moving stuff for his daughter.

Today I'm watching the first game on tv but today I broke out the laptop while doing so to get a little work done before we head out to big charity event for the cancer group that we go to. Wine and food plus a silent and regular auction.
