Where do you register your domains?
With EV1 registrations being closed, directnic being too expensive, and godaddy registration process being too slow - where do you register your domains?
just curious :-) |clown|

Directnic...never had a problem for the past 4 or 5 years.
15/year is a small price to pay to have your domains safe. |

If you are buying more than 100 registrations or renewals per year, you should be looking at a wholesale registrar rather than a retail one. I use www.onlinenic.com

I've been using Directnic for years without any problems. $15 a year is fine for me since they keep my domains safe. I guess though if I was registering bulk domains, then I might have to look for a cheaper place.

I think the Godaddy issues revolve around their transfer policies, and their attitude towards seizing domains.
Enom is in the news at the moment as a result of their blocking renewals during the early grace period of high value domains that have just expired. |

I remember when registering domains was easy. Ignorance was bliss. Now I can't decide who to use.

I went with Directnic cause back when domains finnally hit the $7.00 mark I bought a couple and everything just sits there now. Buying with them is never an issue. DNS updated with in a couple of hours and honestly never had to call support for anything. I dont even know their phone number. I think its going on like 5 or more years with them now.

NO! Im not a female - but being a dragon, I do eat them.

I much prefer Directnic and have used them for years - and if you are doing bulk then you might want to discuss a bulk price with them I wouldnt use a registrar unless I could negotiate a price to my liking

I only use Est for domains and HQ for hosting. They allow me to be more 'creative'. When I'm done completely destroying a domain, I transfer it to GoDaddy, knowing that someone will unburden me of it in the night without being stopped.
Ok, just kidding. I use an Enom reseller. $12.95 per year, $8.45 to transfer to them.
