Ashley Madison Apparently Changed Their Payouts....For The Worse

Bear with me - this is kinda fucked up.

I joined Ashley Madison in December of last year & it was fucking great. Kinda new & not too many people were promoting it. I made a lot of money with very little pushing. They paid 50% on every sale generated by a member that you sent. If the member made 3 purchases, you got paid 50% of each. It was lovely.

A couple months ago things started to slow down a bit, oddly enough right when they changed to paying 70%. But what I never noticed (or saw in writing) was that it was 70% of 1st sales only. No more money for the members extra sales

How do I know this?

"The reason for the difference is because the Activity report logs first purchases only because that is what we pay out on, and the log shows all purchases."

I was told about this little bit of fine print today after I sent over a complaint that I was missing about $1000 in sales

It boggles me how an affiliate program can show you sales that you don't get credit for

So for anyone that I referred over to them, please take a look at your stats (compare your Activity Logs vs Activity Reports) and see if you were fucked out of money like I was, then do what you will with your ads.

It's hard enough making money in this economy without programs pulling shit like this.

On the activity report, is the amount after "Balance on USD Account" the amount you can expect to receive when you withdraw funds?

My only issue with them so far is that their stats report displays every SE bot hit as a click-thru, so it looks my traffic is even shittier than it is.

Let me get this straight.... You were TOLD you were getting 50% on ALL sales and your stats shows that figure but they are only paying you based on 70% of the first sale?

So your commission shows X? And you're being paid Y? Which is $1000 less than if it had been 50% of sales and rebills?

They have 2 stats area - one has what we're being paid with clicks & whatnot. The other has all the transactions on your account. You'd think that they'd equal each other.

When I joined, it was 50% of everything. Then they changed to 70% in June, but, as far as I can see, neglected to tell anyone that they were only paying on 1st sales.

The thing with them is their inside has a tier system for the member. Pay this amount, get some info/contact with the other party. Pay some more, get more info. Pay the top price, get the date. So a member could contact 2+ other members & you'd only get credit for 1 sale. They could then pay more to meet 1+ of those members & you'd get ZERO.

Here's my discrepancies:

Activity Report Aug 09 (16th - 31st) shows 4 sales at $196 total
Activity Log for that same period shows 4 sales for $296

Activity Report for Aug 09 (1st-15th) shows 0 sales
Activity Log for the same period shows 1 sale at $249

Activity Report for Jul 09 (16th - 31st) shows 2 sales at $198
Activity Log for the same period shows 3 sales at $447

Activity Report for Jul 09 (1st-15th) shows 2 sales at $98
Activity Log for same period shows 3 sales at $247

Activity Report for Jun 09 (16th - 30th) shows 9 sales at $861
Activity Log for same period shows 9 sales at $1100.40

I won't see a dime of this almost $1000 gross ($500-700 net)

All my sales are for $49 which pays $34.30. This is 70 cents less then the one time payout of $35 at FLING. To top it off its ratio from free signup to paid is worse as well. I have just one more sale to get paid and then I will have to go over ratios to see if I continue.

When Greenie pointed them out to me it was the 50% of all sales and I wanted that but my procrastinating ass took 5 months before I signed up and I did not notice the change they made like a dumbass

I've only been sending them traffic since the second half of July, and I've only ever seen the 70% payout. I've made a whopping 2 sales, but it's a payout of $234.30 (One guy made a $249 purchase, my cut is $200.) I have no way of knowing what my ratios are, because as I said above, my stats are heavily skewed by the Googlebot. No one else seemed to convert from the ad spot I have their banner in, so I've been pleased.

Robert, check the click-thru log for tons of visits from the same IP. That's how I discovered that they were counting Googlebot visits from my site.

Ya, I have the same duplicate IP hits like you do but I believe its not nearly as bad. Even with that my per click ratio is surprisingly better with $.04 AM versus $.027 Fling but 38% more money was earned with Fling thou AM has top billing. Anyway you slice it, I suck and will probably leave everything as is because I will procrastinate about this too!

Is anyone seeing results significantly better than AFF with these guys? I am really reluctant to send traffic to programs who don't have a guy like Sagi around to fix any problems I have ASAP.

That sucks. I put them up on a page on a small site of mine and was making about $245 per month. I just put them up on an orgy page on another site and it send 2240 raw clicks yesterday, no sales. Guess I'll watch'em for a few days and then pull them.

I do a lot of market testing with these guys and orgies/swingers don't work with them. Get real, these people aren't cheating, they're doing it with their partners.

Although what they did as far as their program goes sucks, they still continue to convert at an amazing rate and my payments are still on time.

Jay, I think that you have to log in and request your money...at least the first time. I'm not sure if you have to request it every time or not.

Once I reached the minimum for payout it seemed like they held onto it for a month or so before they issued a check. I did not have to request it.

They do hold 2 weeks and they send it via direct deposit, so you have to send over the form & a cancelled check.

It is a confusing mess, no doubt. I thought I had to request payment because their site states that you do, but they paid me via Paypal without me requesting it. But after the first payment, the conversion ratio went to hell on me, so I pulled their banners from my busier spots.

Is this still true? I have a couple hundred in signups sitting in my account. Last week I emailed AM asking how affiliates get paid (I don't see anything on the site indicating a payout schedule.) I have yet to receive any reply.
