A fresh install - hmmm - I'll be looking into that, never tried it, could be worth trying.

Time to hit the google, lol.

Presumably you mean a "repair install"?

Sounds a bit nervewracking.

lol. I mainly use it to manually submit to sites that I have paid submits for, and partner accounts, or send more than a few clicks.

I like how it creates all my thumbs/links/recips for me. Yea, it might submit on auto to some sites that send little to no traffic, but who cares?

I've found galleries at the top of G for galleries I auto submitted to years ago that make me money. My 2 cents.

I just tried to download the trial version onto two different computers - the W7 IE9 fitted machine just downright refused to accept the download. The W Vista IE8 version accepted the download okay, installed okay but wouldn't let Advanced Submitter run, no explanation, no reason, nothing. I think I'll take Greenie's advice and do it manually!

Actually what I meant was a true clean install, formattiing the partition on which you're installing windows (you can do that from the windows setup but I'm using Hiren's BootCD for that). Doing that you will loose everything on that partition and all your installed software, that's a pain in the ass because you will spend all day long installing softwares and drivers.

After you finish installing everything, you can use Ghost from you're Hiren's BootCD and create an image of the partition with your OS and softwares so the next time you want a fresh install you can youse Hiren's BootCD to restore your partition from the image, exactly the same way it was when you created the image.

Advanced Submitter is the best. I tried that Chameleon crap and would rather do it all by hand like back in the day - its that bad. If you havent tried Advanced Submitter then you have no idea what we are referring to.
I also use Roboform for IE but use the addon for FF at the office.
I am on XP and will stay on it for as long as I can... My roboform and thankfully Advanced Submitter are still working.

I am wondering about upgrading to win7 pro so I can set up a virtual machine running XP in my win7 machine - that should I think allow me to use AS.

Problem is I can't be sure it will work.

But, I wouldn't mind having the pro version anyway.

I have to test this roboform system more before I decide.

The good thing is you don't even have to open the virtual machine...you click the link to the program in win 7 and it runs (the links to xp programs go to your startmenu in win 7)
