Non-sponsors' content questions.
I admit i'm pretty shy to ask these questions, but i need to know, so don't laught too loudly.
I want to buy a couple of so called exclusive photo sets for link lists for about 12-15 dollars. It will be the first time when i apply non-sponsors' content. But i'm not absolutely sure about how you use it in this case. I mean, you just create a new free site with purchased content and promote a certain sponsor's portal with alien material? They won't consider this as violation of rules? Second. I understand, that i have more chances to get listed to LLs with purchased content, but it can be as overused as sponsors' one. How the hell do i know how many people have bought it from my seller. In general, does purchased material worth the results?

You can use that purchased content on freesites to promote a certain sponsor yes. There are however 1 or 2 programs, don't know anymore which ones, that don't allow this but most do.
With some LL's you'll get accepted faster with purchased content yes. And if it's cheap it's probably overused |

You could also use this content to promote yourself through an AVS site or make a couple sites from it (if you have enough content). Submit it much like you do a Free Site to those LL's that accept AVS. You could also make yourself a TGP gallery page, submit it and use the links back to your AVS site(s).

I personally never understood this. Granted we have a few affiliates who make sales from galleries and freesites with other content, but why would you want to advertise a site with content that is not in the members area? what if the surfer joined hoping to see the rest of that picture set or a video?

The main issue is that if everyone used the sponsor's content
then surfers would be seeing the same old pics over and over again and get tired of it. Imagine if your favorite LL was flooded with sponsor content. On each new content update from sponsors, LL owners would be flooded with galleries that all have the same pics. Paid content adds diversity and provides content that surfers may not have seem(and therefore more likely to go to your sponsor). As for not finding the same content in the member's area, the basic idea is that they'll likely find some other model that they like and completely forget about the gallery they just saw. Naturally more expensive paid content is rarer. So in many cases, cheap content is overused(since it's cheap and many webmasters are out there looking for the cheapest paid content). That's basically the way it is. Last edited by carcassi456; 2007-11-09 at 08:20 PM.. |

Thanks all of you.
The last question. What price for content is considered as cheap? I looked up a couple of sites and decided to purchase photo sets for 19 and 29 dollars. I understand that the more expensive the less people used it, but... but =)

If you are worried about older less expensive content being overused, just look at a few of the high traffic link lists and see if you find it on any of the listed sites. I agree with Beaver Bob. Sales are made off of gallery pages on free sites and if the member doesn't find the model that got him to join, he's not gonna stay very long. |

Paid content is ideal for AVS sites especially, since you are only showing 3 or 4 teasers on the outside and selling the membership to see the content inside.
Another advantage of paid content for free sites is that you aren't tied to one sponsor, so if one company isn't converting for you it's easy to just switch out the ads and promote another outfit. No need to take down your sites or get new content. If you happen to be getting good SE traffic on a freesite that isn't selling, or one that the sponsor has dicked you around on, it's nice to own the content. As far as price, yeah, if it's cheap it's everywhere. But if you buy some micro-niched stuff and put it on an AVS, the surfer who needs it to get off has to buy from you So it's worth paying more for.

If you want to promote a sponsor and you feel that their content is over used, contact them and let them know. Ask if they plan on releasing anything new. They might be able to let you in the members area to grab what you want. Or they might not. One of the other the problems with purchased content is that it can be difficult to find anything that matches a paysite's theme. (Everything seems to have some sort of reality spin these days.) In my opinion, the return on free sites doesn't make it worthwhile to spend my money on content. Especially if it isn't going to quite mesh with the site being promoted. Purchased content is good if you are promoting products like toys and pills. Quote:

If sponsor content is overused, try one of the less used sponsors. At GMP, we are workin very hard to provide great material to our affiliates - banners that match the content, tours that match the banners etc.... and it's past midnight and I still have a days work ahead of me.... Excuse me if I cant myself, I can still my own horn... |

I've had a membership to one of the biggest teen sites on the net for over three years (wonder who's getting the affilaite $$ on that sale?) and I still go back to the model's page(s) that I originally joined for. On my site, Butterfly is by-far my favorite fuck - and my best selling model - and she’s about as normal a girl as you will ever meet – she’s just…., well..... fuckable! And if this were trure, why do sites like TightTeela sell at all? |

Some great points in this thread. I have over 2000 sets of purchased content and I still prefer to promote sites using sponsor content for the reasons mentioned above. I bought that content because I got an awesome deal on it, otherwise, I would have let it be. I use it for what Sheepguy said, either AVS sites or sites where I want to be able to switch sponsors down the road. Otherwise, it's sponsor content for me.

Hm.. Do you think i'm rushing to buy some unique content when there are tons of sponsors'? Of course, i understand that on some level it's cheating, but how the hell to get listed to major LLs? Sometimes even in their rules there is a line about unallowed sponsors' content that calls you to buy some material because "it is not expensive nowadays". For example at Smut Gremlins.
And not every sponsor will be glad to send you unique photo sets or videos.

Well, up to you, I guess. Personally, I think you are rushing into it. I have no problems getting my sponsor content FS listed. Yes, when I feel the sponsor content is old and it's a popular sponsor (hence possibly saturated), I do ask for more sets from the members area (emailed to me, or I pick them up, depends on the sponsor). I always include a few lines about myself, as well as samples of my work. So far, not a single sponsor refused my requests.
Then again, with many sponsors, their content is far from saturated, and you can easily get listed with it. Give a try, if you get too many rejections, then consider a different route. Otherwise, why spend so much money on a FS when you can't even be sure of a single sale to cover the costs these days. BTW, I have purchased a few sets in the past, only to find the very same sets available as sponsor content by my sponsors... no watermarks either, wouldn't have made an iota of a difference if I didn't spend the money on buying and took them from the sponsor instead.

If you get rejected for using overused content you need to get the sponsor content before every other webmaster does, build a site and get it submitted before everyone else does. That way the others get rejected for overused content and you don't
Traffic Cash Gold puts up new content almost daily, not in every niche, but there is usually something new every day. New squirting content (which is my manna) is posted about every 7-12 days. As already mentioned, ask your sponsor rep at other sponsors if you can go into the members area and get content for your sites. I thought they would never let a small fish like myself go in but guess what, one of the larger sponsors gave me a temp user/pass and has renewed it for six months . I check daily and get their new exclusive content as soon as they have it in their members area. They shoot their own so no one has access to it except their affiliates, and if I'm the first to get it, good for me. About 90% of my sales come from my index pages and 9% from my main pages and only 2% from gallery pages but if I were a surfer and got to the gallery and wanted to see more of a particular babe I would be damn pissed if she wasn't in the paysites members area. I use sponsor content exclusively and have been rejected once in 13 months for overused content. Just did a quick check and since Oct. '06 I've built 197 sites and with 4 mirrors of each that's 985 sites. I'll take that one rejection for overused content, but no more Last edited by Licker4U; 2007-11-13 at 10:55 AM.. |
