It looks really good although I'll probably wait for it to make it to Netflix to watch it.

Can't wait ti see it, although some of those distant CGI action shots look a little cheesy. Up close though, it looks like they did a remarkable job.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I saw all the original planet of the apes movies dozens of times, then the remake I thought was crap. This looks great though, thanks I'll have to watch for it too.

Cleo, that trailer is better than the one I saw at the movies, thanks.
This looks really good on the big screen and looking forward to see it there. |

I'm somewhat excited to see it. I think it can be either awesome or terrible. I don't think there'll be much middle ground with this one.

The facial expressions are uncanny. I wasn't interested at first, but after watching the trailer, I am surely waiting for this.

The lovely Freida Pinto was on John Stewart's Daily Show. She said they did not use any real chimps in the movie. It's all either CGI, or a person in a costume.
Apes are cool, but I'll be watching a lot of Freida, too. |

Rise of The Apes.
I also saw the trailer and just the fact it looks so real is scary. But I also agree it will be a good one to watch. eidoos77.

I saw the trailer too, and already have it on my list of movies.
But this is not a sequel to Planet of the Apes, it is a totally new thing, no? from the trailer it seems so |

I watched it last night. Absolutely fantastic movie.
The only odd thing was the mention of a mission to Mars that later in the movie is shown to have been lost in space. Didn't seem to have any relevancy to the movie so I'm guessing that it is a setup for a sequel when the astronauts return to earth and find apes running it. |

I saw it as well. I really enjoyed it. And yeah I think so @ the Mars thing.
Freida was insanely hot in this movie, btw. |

This new movie is a new story, rather than a remake, but uses the original movie to set up a story line which appears to be the first in a series leading up to an ape-controlled Earth. I thought the idea of testing an Alzheimer’s cure on apes leading to increased brain function was brilliant. So much better than old story line, which really got stupid after several sequels. Of course nothing can compare to Charleston Heston saying 'damn dirty apes', but all the new technology takes it in a better direction. (I'm a little surprised it wasn't released in 3D) It was really well done, I thought. I've heard a lot of people remark how silly it seems, apes taking over the world, but it really captures the imagination. |
