Changing Sponsor on existing site?
I built a free site about 6 months ago that is getting some traffic both from LL's and from SE's.
Due to 2257 the sponsor decided to redirect traffic to a different site than the one I was promoting although in the same niche, IMHO the tour is not nearly so good and is a little 'off topic'. What I'd like to do is change the links and the banners to a different site in the same niche but with a different sponsor. The content is paid for and not tied to any particular sponsor. I'm obviously already listed on some LL's and am wary of the 'dont change the code rule'. So, does anyone foresee any problems with switching sponsor in this situation? I dont want to get deleted or worse, blacklisted from the LL's I am listed on. |

I wouldn't have any problem with you changing out one banner for another of the same size. Or changing the text as long as there was still about the same amount of text. I don't think you submit to me though.

I've done that before, especially for older sites that are getting some unexpected traffic from a late listing a few months after I've figured out the sponsor doesn't work for me, or if I need some flow to a new hub or something.
Seems people don't have any problems with that as long as the rules aren't broken Ponygirl |
