Sleepy Friday June 9th (aka Pulling My Hair Out)

Morning!

It is morning, right? I fell asleep during the hockey game as usual, but woke up around Midnight & could not fall back to sleep thinking about the selling of the house. It started with the square footage, which I now know can't include the 1000 sq ft that is the pool house But then it just rolled from there. I went over the listing documents & found a shitload of things we missed or didn't do properly - like the kitchen measurements had the old kitchen numbers & not the new ones from the addition. We also missed a lot of what may seem like little stuff, but when you put a house up for 1/2 a million, I think people would want to know there's a central vac system, water softener, back up generator, etc. So I a little, then sent my realtor a lengthy email listing all the missing or incorrect info. I almost felt bad complaining about all the errors, because I'm a nice guy at heart, but for 6% of 1/2 a mil....fuck it. Let him be upset with me

Not much else going on today, so it'll be work with at least 1 nap snuck in there

Hi there

Already had my nap.
Been working for some hours, but I feel I have to take it easy a bit more, my mouse arm ain't good.

We had to sell our house(s) twice the last 8 years due to my health.
It sure is hell and a lot of stress.
I feel you.

Have a nice day
Jlly

Don't beat yourself up Greenie. It's almost normal to forget all the details you need to list. it's not something you do every day either. Your agent should be happy to add those extras because it helps the house sell faster and for a better price = more moolah for him faster.

I do need a nap. Not sleeping that well lately. Yesterday, a moose got caught on a swimming beach not too far from here. Instead of rescuing the poor animal, the police took over a half hour to kill it. They really tortured her, and sadly it was all caught on video. Then I find out that the cat we are sponsoring at a lifetime care facility in my brother's honor doesn't have long to live. She has leukemia that has become active as well as intestinal cancer. I know she has the best care possible... but still. Add the two events together and you have a funk.

Then add it all to the stress of moving. We have the inspection on Tuesday. I know most houses have little things wrong with them. I was talking with my husband last night about the old "Please stop spending money until we get moved" routine. I told him I see at least 3500 euros of expenses over the next two months - paneling, paint, a dishwasher, a new stove, moving, half of the inspection fee, etc. Plus, we don't know if there are other defects that may need to be fixed. Mold is a huge problem here. So, he said last night that if the inspector finds anything even if it is little, we don't buy the house. I honestly don't know how much longer I can stand to live here. We essentially live in one room, with a tiny kitchen. We do have a lovely sauna and shower room, but we really don't spend much time there. My desk is 3 feet from my side of the bed.

So, yes, my stress levels right now are through the ceiling. Sadly, I think it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Good Morning

Got a site finished this morning after my submits and now I've got errands to run. I've been putting off a bunch of stuff to work on the PL network, but now that crap needs to be dealt with.

Enjoy your Friday!

6%??? Damn! I negotiated 4% on my house sale. Most realors here will do that with high end homes up here. 4% was still a bitch though, we sold for $630K so $25,000 in commission
