Alternative To Big Nasty Counters

Right now I'm using a third party counter to count the stats on my sites. My host doesn't offer stats directly and it's because they lowered prices by offering less in the control panel. I know, I should've gone with a host that does but my host has really good bandwith prices. Are there any programs that will allow me to calculate my stats?

Do you have .htaccess / Apache module mod_rewrite with your hosting?

If you have PHP and mysql access, you could use counters like this:

Too many counter programs today are using sneaky redirects, downloads, and traffic filters to take advantage of your traffic.

welcome to the board

You should really invest in something like AWStats so that you have good logs that are far more accurate than with a "free" counter.

This is what I use for my stats, and it's free and hidden to surfers. It's called Webstats.
