Still watching Isaac moving towards this big sand bar called Florida.

We should all go down to Simon's place and have a hurricane party.

Went to the grocery store yesterday to get some snacks and was kind of shocked at the amount of shoppers buying water and hurricane supplies. People were filling their carts with bottles of water, batteries and canned goods. I miss the old days of living in Florida when all we did was put masking tape on the windows and have a big hurricane party.

It's way too soon to know if we will have to put up the storm shutters or not. Just another boring day of work planned for today.

In a day or so when the forecast gets a bit more accurate, it'll be more of a concern. But, Simon looks to be square in the path no matter where the forecasts go. However, west coast of Florida is not looking good.

Spent a few hours yesterday migrating a site I wrote last year to use current versions of libraries - and stumbled through that breakage. Took longer than expected, but, now I can get to work on it after I fix another script.

Another day of "vacation" here. As of tomoroow everything will be back to normal.
The gf is picking up work to ,she went to the school she teaches in to prepare some stuff. Soon all this vacation stuf will be history.

Good morning world...from Hurricane Central

I've been looking at the various storm track projections and it does look like Isaac will come right this way, probably as only a Cat 1 but it's too early to be sure. Usually when a storm has to come across Hispaniola and Cuba we can count on it getting nicely shredded by the mountains on the way to us. But there are tracks this time that show it could move a bit north and miss the mountains completely. Then the question is does it still come at us or keep the northward track and hit the mainland (Cleo and cd34) instead.

I guess I'll make time to put the top back on the Jeep and more gas than usual in its tank. Aside from that I doubt I'll be preparing like I would for a stronger storm. So just the usual work on the agenda for the next few days unless something changes.

Morning all

No hurricanes heading at us here, but we did get lots of rain yesterday. This has been the rainest July and August I can remember here. I am afraid to look at my next electric bill, as we have been forced to run the AC a lot more than normal because of the Florida like humidity.

Went to the grocery store this morning to pick up some coffee and cat food (two essentials) now back home and back to work.

Stay safe you guys in Florida.

@Greenie, good luck! My son is going through that and it is a PITA. At least he just relocated back to Alaska from West Virginia, and it seems like they are helping him a lot more up there.

Afternoon. Worked into the night and got a lot of new code done that will be reusable in a lot of future projects.

Two more days until I'll be at a lake relaxing with friends and then Saturday morning some wake boarding and water skiing. Seriously can't wait to be there.

So yesterday put on these new sheets I purchased for the bed. Fucking heavenly sleep last night. Feel so much better today. Could be that I had an awesome dinner last night out that could have helped things. Just to get out of the house after a couple days of just working in my office and a little run. Get out and be with people.

Alright. Enjoy your day. Time for some more coffee and then more coding.
