Freesite reviewers - repetitive text on freesites....
Hello all you lovely reviewers. I love you all.
A few questions.... - When you review submitted freesites from a regular submitter do you get tired of seeing the same sales text time after time? - Would you start rejecting if the sales text got too repetitive? - Or do you judge the entire freesite structure/layout/design and allow for the same old text to be used? (Assuming different fonts, colours, etc are used) I ask because I've had really good results with a particular sponsor that offers trials and a load of free bonus sites. I've built some freesites that have seen as many as 7 sales from a single index page, and obviously I'd love to be able to keep that going. I've already run out of different ways to say the same thing over and over, and I'm concerned that if you (sexy) reviewers are reading similar sales text all the time it's going to get me rejected. Thanks for reading - any thoughts appreciated. |

Speaking for myself only, I don't mind if the sales text is the same as long as the submitter doesn't over use templates. Keep your free site layouts/designs fresh and I don't have a problem with the text situation you mentioned. Hope that helps.

I have no problem with it. I'm more interested in variations in the the titles and descriptions and the overall look and feel of the site than how often you use the same text.

Thanks for the replies ladydesigner and papagmp.
I'll try and freshen up my sites a bit more, build them around the sales text that's working well for me. |

Gary - I know when I get a site from you that it's going to be grammatically correct, the words are spelled right, the text makes sense, and it's not going to look exactly like the last one you sumbitted.
If it works that well for you, you can use the same text till the cows come home for all I care |

I suppose that overused text could be looked at as overuse of templates, but I don't think I've seen it happen where I thought about rejecting the site.

Using the same text doesn't bother me a bit.

Where there's a will, I want to be in it.

Gotta say I agree with Ponygirl. Plus the fact that you spread out your freesites over lots of different categories/niches is really great.
If you hit on some text that brings you sales, run with it.

I typically don't even read the text on the free sites of someone I trust, like you, so I would never know that you are using the same text. And as spaceman said, when you know something is creating sales for you, you'd be foolish not to milk it for what its worth.

Very reassuring, thank you guys and gals.
Thanks also for the encouraging words about my freesites. It's good to know that I'm doing things right, or at least okay. I guess making a reviewer's life a bit easier by earning trust is a big part of building freesites. I don't want to kiss anyone's ass but I feel obliged to thank all those who send me traffic day-in, day-out. Every single listing I get is very much appreciated, so thank you. |
