Cool Quaking Ducks, Barking Dogs, Poring Rain, Run Over By A Truck Morning 062911

Christy has strange choices for her iPhone alarms. Not even 6 am and I'm being awoken by the sound of quaking ducks followed by barking dogs. Somehow the sound of rain, real rain, put me back to sleep.

Still in recovery mode feeling a bit like I've been run over by a truck. Not sure if it is from having surgery or detox from being on massive amounts of pain killers for months but I am slowly starting to feel better and glad to be coherent again. Actually made it out of the house yesterday to run errands like going to Whole Foods. It was kind of surreal waiting for leg pain that never came. Still haven't made it back to the gym but hoping to very soon.

Just another day of playing catchup in work planned for today.

Morning all.

I woke up to a loud crash this morning. First I thought the cat had jumped on something and pulled it off, but she was fine. Found Jim though flat on his back in the bathroom after passing out. He has a knot the size of an egg on the back of his head where he hit the wall and/or floor, and was covered in clammy sweat. Wet down a towel. He had leg cramps so fed him bananas. I suspect he is dehydrated (as he hates water) but can't get him to go to a doctor. So far his BP is normal, his eyes are equally reactive, and he isn't puking so no signs of concussion. But I can't get his stubborn ass to a hospital. No idea why he passed out, or why he has had migraines on and off now he is getting them every few days, and miss hypochondriac here thinks things like brain tumor.

So going to type this then go check on him. Checking on him every 1/2 hour to make sure he is ok, and trying to get more water into him. The man doesn't like water, and drinks coffee rockstars, so he is dehydration waiting to happen.

Hope your morning is going better, I just want Jim ok.

Jim needs to get his stubborn ass to the doctor.
(But I can't get the comical vision of him laying there being fed bananas like a monkey)

I've checked 2 more times on him, and so far no symptoms of concussion. The swelling on his knot on his head has gone down by 1/2 too.

Finally letting him sleep a bit, I warned him he starts puking or his eyes get weird he is going to the doctor.

And yea, it was a bit comical to feed someone a banana who was naked flat on his back on the bathroom floor. I did look up on WebMD and dehydration can cause what happened. The man never drinks water. His ass is getting forced to drink it now. I got about 18 ounces down him this morning. I bought him his arrowhead spring water he loves, a 2 1/2 gallon jug of it yesterday. Have at it. He was proud he drank one glass yesterday. Hell, I go through 2 1/2 gallons in 2 days. (I probably drink too much)

1.25 gallons of water a day isn't really too much. Just make sure to replenish your electrolytes.

Good Wednesday Peoples

I've got the reverse problem of Jim - too much water! Doc put me on water pills yesterday & my leg went down a lot - almost normal now. You're think I was fine if not for the 18 bandaids covering scabs on my arms & legs

Still playing catchup on some old work, but that will have to wait until I get thru the daily submits.

I can drink a 32 ounce glass of water with a meal, so I rarely have dehydration issues, but he is lucky if he drinks 8 ounces a day. He seems ok now, but going to the store to get more bananas, V8 and Gatorade. His neck is sore I think he hit the wall before the floor and tweeked it, and I have a feeling the rest will be too, he went down like a rock.

Damn Greenie, that is awful. Do they know what is causing it?

I'm horrible about drinking water too. To pile on the feeling shitty train... I went to bed with a migraine and then woke up with it. Fucking sucks. I'm just starting to feel better. My eyes were watering like crazy too. Which to be honest is what drives me more crazy then the pain of the headache.

So now it's time to press keys and click the mouse.

I did watch last night The adjustment bureau and thought it was ok actually. It's always nice I guess to hear how shitty a movie is so that you come into it thinking you are about to see a steam pile of crap. So then you watch it and it's ok.

Not sure if I mentioned yet... over the weekend I watched all of Children's Hospital and fucking LOVED it. I was laughing my ass off. I'm mad that nobody I know didn't turn me on to this show sooner.

Good evening,

Another exhausting demolition day. Now I'm home alone with the little guy since his mom had to go to graduation evening of the school she teaches in. No rest for the wicked.
Speaking of drinking water, I should get myself a drink fast.

I hope Jim, Cleo, Greenie and everyone else feel better real soon.

Simple rule of thumb...8oz water for ever oz of booze

Yea generally when I'm out drinking or when I'm working out I'm good with water. It's the days when I'm just working that I'm really bad. I'll just drink loads of coffee and lately I'm back on the soda train. So I will drink a coke and more than likely a medium to large Dr Pepper at lunch which then I refill and bring back to the office.

Feeling much better now. Always feels nice to not have my eyes pouring water while trying to stare at a screen.

Since we live in the desert, that alone dehydrates you and you need to drink more water than other parts of the country. I'm lucky, I actually like water. Meat Pounder, lol on the pics. I'm sure Jim would have hated me to snap pics of him when he was laying like that.
