TGPX Question: It's Taking A Long Time To Upload An Image For Cropping
I just posted this over on the Unofficial JMB Support Forums but thought I might as well try here, too.
----- Shared / VPS / Dedicated server: Dedicated Script Version: 1.1.0-SS PHP Version: 5.3.29 MySQL Version: 5.1.73 Have you tried the server test script: If yes, results (all passed, some issues (if so what?)): No (Don't know what this is) Have you modified any code yourself: No If yes, briefly describe changes: NA Link to site: http://www.pornluv.com/ (and 67 other domains) Description of issue: 2 days ago we noticed that, after adding a gallery by hand & going to upload an image to crop for the preview thumb, it sometimes (more often than not) takes 30-40 seconds or times out (where it used to be basically instantaneous). Usually the browser window (Chrome) shows nothing other than the circle spinning in the top left, but sometimes it does show "Uploading (0%)" on the bottom left of the window. I know it's not an issue on my end, as my partner is experiencing the same issue. We're also not in there at the same time, so it's not like we're stepping on each other's toes. I ran the Database Repair And Optimize function in the Database ---> Tools area & it came back "The database has been repaired and optimized successfully". Then I asked our host (Mojo) to look into it and seeing as it's a randomly occurring issue, they were not able to duplicate it. They did increase php's max execution time, ran a mysql check of the databases (no issues found), restarted apache / mysql, and cleared the cache directory. I searched in here for a couple of terms ("upload", "times out", "timing out", "crop". etc.) but I didn't see anything, so here I am asking for help Has anyone else experienced this problem? |

The only time I've had a similar issue with TGPX in 10+ years, it has been a connection issue, either on my end or somewhere between here and Mojo.

Both JustRobert & I started having the problem 2 days ago, so it's not on my (or his) end

Has to be server related if you're both having the issue. Mojo is usually pretty good when it comes to tracking down resource hogs on the server.

I was using it today without much of an issue.
Occasional hangup, but close window start over seems to work. |

I see it once in a great while, and so far they have all been connection issues on my end. Generally, I reboot both computer and router. If that doesn't work, I repair/optimize the database. But the reboots usually work for me. The time that didn't work - I was out of space on the server.

Shift Out / X-On
|
Code:
header("Cache-Control: no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"); HTTP 1.1. header("Pragma: no-cache"); HTTP 1.0. header("Expires: 0"); // Proxies. I found out that new browsers are messing with login cookies on older scripts. If mojo haven't changed anything on server then this should fix it. |

Well, after JR had no problems last night, I had no problems this morning, so whatever it was must've fixed itself

Lol. Nah. Fucking Magic ;p
Those things that seem to break but then fix themselves just as the repair man shows up. Also sometimes referred to as "user issues". user is a four letter word. Last edited by sarettah; 2017-11-15 at 10:08 PM.. |

When I was teaching, back in the last century, I was known as "The Teacher From Hell". I wore that label proudly.
