It's all in the dust… house is getting there
Looks like I'll be sleeping back in my bedroom by this weekend for the first time since the hurricane redecorated it with a 75 foot ficus tree.
Tile guy says it will take him two more days to finish the tile. I may actually have this all done by new years. A few pics from today. http://cleos-porn-links.com/crap/11-2-04/ |

Looks Great!
Looks like the best thing to happen to you was having a tree fall on your house. |

It did get me motived to finally remolding this house. I've owned it for about 19 years and have lived in it on and off over the years. I always hated the kitchen a lot but never wanted to spend the money on fixing it up.
I spoke to my insurance company today and actually got a friendly human who was very surprised I that I still have not had an adjuster here yet. Looks like this is going to come in around 80k with everything. I have no idea what I'll get from insurance but I'm guessing that they will at least pay for the roof, bedroom and its bathroom, plus the cost of getting the tree removed. |

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand!

Hey Cleo...I'm glad everything's coming back together for you. I live in Orlando and we got kinda lucky. The storm only ripped out a little insulation and siding...nothing too serious.

With $10,000, we'd be millionaires! We could buy all kinds of useful things like ... love!
|
Funky tiles! You're inspiring me to get going on my own place. I put in hardwood when I bought the place 5 years ago & that's about it. So many plans I just never got around to!

The tile is just over $2 per square foot. It's porcelain tile that is meant to look like marble. It looks much darker in the pics then it really is but it is the darker of the two shades that it comes in.
Here is a better pic of it. http://www.cleos-porn-links.com/crap/tile.jpg I did do tumble stone which is real marble on the floors of my showers and as an accent on the shower walls. |

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless

Looking good!
