Anyone Familiar With Working Reddit In Promoting Sites?
My boss (not The Bitch) wants to have someone post clips/trailers/whatever on Reddit to promote his/our site(s). I have no idea how much it pays, what exactly it entails, how Reddit works as far as this stuff, etc. so I guess I'm looking for someone that does know all that & has time in their schedule.

I have done it quite a bit - though ive been lazy the last year ...
You basically need to be careful on reddit - their guide says "its ok to be redditer with a website he wants to share, its not ok to have a stack of websites and become a redditer to promote them"...and you easily get done by that if not attuning to each subreddit you post to, diversify with "relevant" things aside from the promos etc https://www.reddit.com/user/ThePainFiles/ - i have created a stack of my own subreddits (ie, https://www.reddit.com/r/FetishFilms/ - i make my own rules there, though i can still get spam filtered) ... and then i subscribe to a ton of subreddits in relevant niches and carefully drop in something now and then |

I *think* my boss is looking to hire 1 person for each site (2 sites now) or 1 person with 2 Reddit accounts
 I know a little about Reddit, but not enough to do this kind of thing. |

Are we talking mainstream or naughty sites?
Its an excellent traffic source as such, but it takes a lot of community engagement, secondary posting and luck to get there ... and if its naughty sites youŽll get viral level traffic (my naughty has 400ish rep and the mainstream 30.000 or something, its way easier to build on mainstream as it gets featured and wider reaching) Just asking because its a difficult one to hire for as you will probably have to pay for a lot of irrelevant/non working efforts long before anything starts to work |
