So has the economy hit you and if so how do you compensate?
I'm noticing some very interesting trends in signups and traffic during this economic crisis.
Finding good programs to promote is one thing but sometimes the long term tried and true programs have kept steady. It's amazing the surprises that pop up and the ideas that rise when you're up against the wall. I noticed a slow rise in my bottom line without major promotion and it's steady. I'm also blogging more and trying new things on my blogs as well as writing for other people's blogs and learning their techniques. I've also noticed a drop in the arguing and fighting that ruins the industry on the boards and sometimes just burying the hatchet can turn into a windfall. |

Well we run website hosting for adult webmasters and I can't say there has been a huge decrease in sales in names so people are certainly still trying to make it work for them.
I can say that we would have to search into other niches for web hosting if the adult industry stopped being such a crucial part of our sales, but until then we're going to keep at it. (So thanks to all our customers) As for the fighting I can't comment on because we haven't starting getting in contact with the boards until recently. |

I don't know anything about hosting other than the one in my sig (same one that Useless Warrior has in his sig) is the best I ever found by a wide margin.
Back on topic... I think the recession has done wonders to get some egos in check and getting everyone to work together a bit more. I'm also seeing domains expire a lot the last month or so with a lot of people leaving the biz. |

People that know a lot about business tell me that those who survive this downturn will come out much stronger and at a competitve advantage when things turn around...not sure if it applies to online web based business, still it's a nice thing to believe...
