Hi

Whoo! 9/10 the way to buddy plays in "The Christ from Oz"!

In my experience most don't mind as long as you are using their anchor text. I make tables like that now and havent had any problems.

Yep, this subject has come up quite a bit lately. Don't think I've seen a single link site say anything negative about custom recips. As long as the anchor links are intact...you should be fine. Actually, there's currently a thread running where many link sites...mine included...have agreed that even some variety in the anchor text is okay. Providing the words used are relevant to the category of course.
Personally, I've been using custom text only recips for well over a year with zero problems. |

I accept them but to be honest I prefer my custom since that also gives branding to my LL.
Mostly what I care about is that my recip is on a page with other large LLs and that the page will be seeing lots of traffic. Guess that is why I use their recip pretty much as is and put a whole lot on one page. http://kinky-cleo.com/porn/foxyangel...ics/index.html |

I'm with Cleo - I figure the recips are good for branding & they stand out well on the page. You can still make them look nice if you try, even when they're all different sizes & colors.
I personally don't care if others use custom ones, tho. My recip on a page makes me happy anyway (Plus I'm too lazy to do custom ones, it took me so long just to get the tables I do have organized ) Ponygirl |

Frustrating thing is that I don't often see limits on number of recips accepted mentioned on a lot of the LL rules, and so have been cautious about adding more in the event they have a rule after the fact. It does seem like LL would benefit from higher number of recips, with more eyeballs and chances to attract traffic. I've been following the thread on limiting acceptance to recips that don't have a blizzard of outlinks in them; is there a thread in which link lists mention if they will accept higher numbers of recips, text based or graphic, per free site? I'm trying to catch up on this board as I get my feet wet here. Cheers- CatsEye |

ok, thanks for the answers.. i decided to try to use only text recips, it just looks better. I think that sites like cleos-porn-links.com don't need a custom recip, i mean everybody knows your great LL anyway :-)
I guess there's no place where i can find text recips for every existing LL ? :-) Maybe it would make sense to start a thread and put them all together at one place? What do you think... Or maybe there's a webmaster out there who has a large database of LL who would share it with me and a few other webmaster who are interested and each webmaster creates text recips for a different niche... |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

I always use the custom recipts from the LL's myself. My last site I manage to get 24 on it and it looks nice to me. We'll see when I submit it today if it's alright with them tough.

The only time I'd decline a site for too many recips is if it just looks over bearing, like a banner farm type of thing. But anything short of that is beneficial to both freesite submitters and LLs. |

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Our link lists are cool with it, feel free to submit. And I make them too for all the sites I submit, I tend though to vary the layout and color of the tables. I don't want to submit more than one entrance for any site I build, so I put them all on one page, lol. That way better se traffic in the long run.

We're fine with custom recips at Certified... however we've found that the Certified seal graphics get more clicks, thus listing is higher in the list and more traffic gets back... What we really HATE is when folks make an entrance page just for our traffic. Why would we want a link on a page no one sees but our own traffic??? GRRRRR
