My Dad's going hunting there in November and will have a bunch of meat if you want it

I would think it would be like living in Alaska in some ways...

Talking to a guy who lives way north of Fairbanks how he get's his mail and food etc and he said it "was just a short drive" when I asked what "short" meant he said 6 hours there, 6 hours back on a good day.

If I remember correctly Sleazy who runs sleazydream is from that area but way way way up farther north of Saskatoon.

Saskatoon is a fairly big city for the Prairies, I play poker online with a girl from there and her connection is fine. It's really not in the boonies, it's a prosperous little spot. Very flat though, if you're dog runs away you can watch him run for a week

Elk you say? Good meat that elk, good eating. Haven't had elk in probably 15 years.

I'm a good 8 hrs on the highway away from Saskabush though. Used to go there a lot when my best friend from high school lived there. An amazing amount of crazy horny women in that city as I recall.
