A/C is on here.
Checking the weather for tomorrow’s kayaking trip from Bill Baggs Cape out to Stiltsville and it isn't looking good with two foot seas and 15 knot winds trying to decide if it should be cancelled or not. |

Good morning world
No cold weather here, same as Cleo the a/c is on here and it was almost too hot/humid out there to go for a walk this morning (but did it anyway). Good day to stay inside and work, which is my plan anyway. @ Cleo - be careful out in those kayaks, evidently it's the season for flying needlefish to jump out of the water and stab women in the chest. (story here) Wishing a good Friday to all.

Good morning.
Cold here too and I'm being taken golfing at noon apparently. Oh well it'll be fun at least, it always is. Nothing planned tonight but relaxing to watch some taped TV or a DVD. |

Morning all. Listening to the rain come down outside my window. I think it has been raining on and off for about a week now. I love this kind of weather. Pretty strange though to be having it in the desert. Hope this doesn't mean a bazillion weeds next month.
Watched Ironman 2 last night, loved it. Then stayed up to almost 3am playing Fallout New Vegas. Up and groggy, building my first free site. We had a fish similar to that in Hawaii (they called them stick fish over there locally, were called I think trumpet fish) used to have babies swim right over my back when I was out free diving, and it would sting when those long pointy things would run into your back. Never heard of anyone getting stabbed by one though, how freaky! Have a good one all.

Recovering from our local political annual general meeting last night. Had a great time, good free food, free booze, some excellent homegrown, great people!

Woke up, thought it was Saturday. I guess that gives me an extra day to be productive this week.
Been working some really odd hours the last two weeks doing some software development.

I caught some sort of bug that's kicked my ass the last 2 days - feeling a bit better today, but I can foresee me not being online too much longer. |

A client asked me to resurrect some code I wrote in early 2001. The tweets are another client telling me to use social media stuff. Don't really have much that is exciting to write, but, figured I'd give it a try.

one process is running as a Content Delivery Network, running Varnish in front of Nginx to serve content. Another process is running Varnish in front of Nginx, using uwsgi to talk with an application written in Pylons. The 'engine' is written to run with Nginx in front of tornado, which uses Redis, Mysql and Hadoop to store data. Then, another process does analytic work in Python and talks with mysql/hadoop) and possibly redis after last night's redesign of a few processes. Was rather difficult to put all of that in 140 characters. I guess after last night, it should be: Quote:
