I had always dismissed the seminars as geared to newbies. This year's topic list looks interesting though and I will probably attend a couple of them.

I really prefer the Florida show but that is probably because I don't drink, don't gamble, don't smoke, and already live in a tourist town so about the last thing that I want to do is travel 2000 miles to go to another tourist town.

The Vegas show is bigger then the Florida show but it is also very spread out so it can be a bit harder to hook up with people.

I also don't really care for how the shows have involved but I do like the fact that I now know a who lot more people when I go to them.

They are very important for meeting the people that you do business with face to face and networking. It is also great to socialize with people who do the same thing for a living as you do, also fun to see old friends.

For now I'm just planning on dong the one up the street from me but maybe if they ever move the Vegas one to another city I would consider doing that one again but I've been to Vegas enough times that I'm really sick of Vegas.

Linkster 2004-11-19 10:15 AM

Cleo - gotta agree with ya - Id love to see them move it to New Orleans again - better concentration of party locations and eating establishments - as well as the casinos :) And anything goes as well if not better than Las Vegas

Will have to miss this year in Vegas - just cant see it - unfortuantely as I really love to get together with all of my friends that I know are going to be there

Cleo 2004-11-19 10:18 AM

New Orleans would be great. :)

Not sure how the folks on the west coast would feel about that.

Sheri Santiago 2004-11-19 10:29 AM

We go every year, it's a good time and great for networking. It's also nice to put a face to the 'posts'... :)

emmanuelle 2004-11-19 10:55 AM

I agree!
The New Orleans show was by far the most fun-

It also kept up with the tradition of booking us at the worst time of year for that particular location. August in Miami? September in Louisiana? Sheesh- what are they thinking?

CamZ_Dan 2004-11-19 11:42 AM

New Orleans was a great time!!

Extreme John 2004-11-19 01:54 PM

My 1st year in the business was the last year of the NO show, so I didnt go because my daughter was due to arrive at that time :)

I would suggest going to THIS Show if any, there is a ton of networking opps, and you get to meet all the good people you do business with.

Extreme Paychecks will be very involved in this years Internext a few ways being the Sponsor of the Xbix Awards, and our Extreme Fetish Night Party (which will be a much larger venue than last years, actually it will blow it all away and details are coming soon :)

But I wouldnt miss this show, with sooooooo many shows and gatherings now it can be a large expense, might as well go to the one where just about everyone goes.

Is there a board party this year?

Linkster 2004-11-19 02:01 PM

John - totally agree that for networking and the most people available in one place that this show is the place to go with Miami running a close second. Really feel bad that I know I wont make this one as just so many people I really wanted to get together with - here's hoping and praying next years will be something Im able to do

AcidMaX 2004-11-19 02:01 PM

Board Party, Board Party, Board Party :)

I will chip in again so one person doesn't have all the expense.

If we do have one, you can't come because you're a Republican - Jim would never allow it :D

stuveltje 2004-11-19 04:08 PM

i would love to be in vegas, money isnt a problem, in those 3 years on the net i made some good friends, i realy like to meet them, but yeah there is the but, i go nowhere without my hubby, and since my hubby is afraid of flying since the 11 sept thing, he wont go, he said to me go yourself but i would die without him........so again i skip a year, someday i will be there, to meet some good people i met in those years, the ones who leanred me this bizz i still talk to them alomost everday, the ones who had faith in me i talk to them everyday.now only meeting them in real person.......damn make some good pics for me|sad|

Theproofhouse 2004-11-19 07:53 PM

I would love to see the next show in another country, after all, the internet is a worldwide thing, and so is porn.
I suggest London. Its the first stop across the Atlantic you hit (apart from Ireland) American people, and the climate is more tollerable than lets say New Orleans or Florida.

But the "all-inclusive" badge will get you into seminars (a list of those is "coming soon" on their website - LOL)

How about a link to the website?

I have my entourage figured out wife and a couple working girls that speak very little english (their hot and their sisters) .
Can I just buy tickets to the Players Ball for my girls?
Besides giving MrMarryLou a boobhat and window dressing for me at the Players Ball I figured I would just cut the girls loose and let them enjoy Vegas are there any other events I should bring them to?

Greenguy 2004-11-22 06:57 PM

http://www.internext-expo.com/

Me being the white trash heavy metal guy that I am, I tend to stay away from the Players Ball (I have gone to a few) It's not really my "scene" :D

There is a list of parties here:
http://www.internext-expo.com/partie...schedule.shtml
but looking at what they have listed so far, we're all going to the wrong convention :D

T Pat 2004-11-22 07:19 PM

|sad| I'm bummed, from that list of parties it looks like I would make a better impression if I brought a couple Tijuana Trannies

docholly 2004-11-22 08:12 PM

|jester| think i'll just suck my margaritas and watch the crowds walk by.. and Krave just had a shooting at the club last week..1 dead and i think 2 injured.. but hey .. life in the phat lane, eh??

|goodnight

Greenguy 2004-11-22 08:18 PM

TP - don't worry, there will be a lot more "straight" parties & in order to get your party mentioned on their page, you have to have a booth, so there will be other "unannounced" parties as well.

MrMaryLou 2004-11-22 08:55 PM

43 days left till boob hats :)

Chop Smith 2004-11-23 01:54 AM

Appears to be a real need for a "'I'm Not Going To The Other Party' Party"

WTS - Ben 2004-11-23 02:34 PM

Our crew is REALLY looking forward to it!
It's always nice to put faces to the posts.

Our booth is conveniently located right next to the bar too!
Soooo if your thirsty... ( and I KNOW your thirsty! )...
Stop by booth #247 on your way to the bar and say hello... I'll buy the beers!|cheers|

Don't be shy! |couch|

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone this year!|waves|

Hope you're feeling alright these days Linkster. Always a pleasure bumping into you. Not sure if I'm heading to Vegas either this year...thinking Phoenix.

From the look of that party list it looks like you will be getting a different type of hat this year. I guess the ones from Angel were just a warm up. :D
