hmm
me and my friend are on a dedicated server together, i havent seen any problems. we ran seperate websites, and at times he would submit a free site the same day i would, and there has never been a problem. however, me and him run the same website now, our new one. I make the freesites and submit them, and he does the updates to the linklist, free hosted galleries, etc. etc.
he never could make much in terms of traffic from linklists, due to the way he designed his free sites, i wish we had just started off on the same website, it almost seems like the year he ran his own was just not worth it, for him, or for me in terms of taking time to teach him. i know how you feel about having tried to teach several friends, for them only to quit. Ive had 3 of my friends over the years say "Hey thats awesome you make money on porn teach me!" i always ask them, are you SURE? can you hack working 8-14 hours a day for atleast a month without seeing a penny for quite some time? they would always say yes yes. but after i put in 100-200+ hours teaching them the ins and outs, they go and quit on me because its been 3 weeks and they havent made any money yet, or worse yet, my one friend i taught for about 2 months, he did very good, but then one day just said "Im sorry man, i cant look at porn any more!!" I laughed, but it was true, he had come to hate what he had once loved lol. If anyone is thinking of teaching a friend the business, think twice and make sure its a good idea, or else your wasting your time, as well as your friends. Im just happy that im still working with 1 out of the 4 people i taught :) however, the other 3 people now know how hard it actually is and dont just say "you get paid to look at porn! so cool!" like everyone else does lol. sorry for the ramble, needed a break from work so i thought it would be ok |zzzzzzzzz |

Since reviewing galleries for my TGP I'm getting more and more sick of the same (old boring) reality content or all the "in-the-pink" galleries! That's probably the reason my next project will be only with nice high-class nudes... The problem with hosting 'a friend' shouldn't be big as long as you keep control of the server (in case he messes up htaccess or some scripting and brings the box to its knees) and put him onto seperate IP addresses. Nameserver shouldn't be a real problem either, after all: all boxes at my host phatservers are on the same NS entries. Last week was the first time I ran into "nameserver blacklisted" - I wrote to the TGP owners and gave them a list of some 6 to 8 really reputable sites on phatservers, and got a friendly reply back "our mistake" - and all was solved. |
