Jim, I have been part of a project that attempted to get "real amateur swinger" videos, and honestly, it sucked. The "reality" of the deal is pretty simple: Most swingers are not as attractive as they think, they are not as good in bed as they think, and they are boring to watch fuck unless you are there in person.

Often what is exciting when you are right there loses something when you can click pause and see how bad everyone really looks.

Many swingers will appear on video, but they want to wear masks, be hidden, disguised, whatever. It makes for some extremely cheesy video.

Meanwhile, back to the reality world:

I think that pretty much all niches of this business have a fast run up followed by a long and protracted run out to nothing. reality, MILF, hidden cam, pickups... and many other niches have lit up the web for a while only to fade back to the background like many other types of porn.

I personallly feel that the future lies somewhere around IPTV, and I am starting to re-orient everything I do towards an all video distribution future.

Alex

Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen. Obviously there are still plenty of men out there whose fantasy is to see women tricked into sex. So there's still money to be made, no matter how unoriginal (or offensive) these things are.

So totally agree. I'll do avs sites for reality sponsors, but I do get tired of the bashing the women take from the guys in the vids. They're called "stupid sluts(whores, bitches, etc)" and it seems like the women are only there to be humiliated.

So far, I've seen one hardcore site that seems to put the women in the drivers seat (so to speak): Manhunter, by silvercash. Never had a ton of luck with SC, but I do have some funds over there just waiting to be released. I think I could do a couple of Manhunter sites without being too annoyed by the content.

Wait.. putting women down is a right of passage. Shit, ever read a bible? Woman is made FROM man. She's here to serve. Keeping her down, is what us men are all about.

That being said. Call me one of the lucky ones that have managed to see thru all this shit. I too think it's fucked up that a woman can do the same job as a man and get paid less for it. Some of the best executives in american corporations are women, and still get paid less than men with the same jobs.

Ladies, on behalf of my fellow man... I apaologize for centuries of a male dominated civilization.

Ok.. NOW can I see your tits? |mml|

...just kidding. :D

I like the idea of a reality based reality niche... (that sounds so strange)

When it comes to whether or not I get turned on by most of the porn out there these days, the answer is more often than not no. Very little of it has to do with what the person looks like and most of it has to do with the attitude that is captured by them on film.

A webmaster that I know from another board (Not sure if her & her husband come here or not) posted pics of a party they hosted a while back, a swinger party I guess it was, with a mix of people who were regular recurring customers, and some I guess were people featured on their site? (I might have that last bit wrong, not sure) ...anyways, the people featured in the images were far from glamour models, but the pics were AWESOME because well, they were real. I guess the term "real" isn't a good term to use anymore, technically its not as if some porn is more "real" than other porn in the sense that everybody's getting fucked sooner or later... I'll go with the term "natural" -- The pictures featured a more 'natural' sex.

Maybe that's the new niche, "Natural porn" that truly features your everyday people who are comfortable enough to let themselves be filmed while partaking in the perfectly natural act of mating. It makes a world of difference (to me at least) when the individuals featured are totally into each other and genuinely enjoying what they're doing.

While i've never been a big fan of the genre, I totally agree, i just don't think it's being done right but I also think there are just so many untapped ideas out there for this angle alone.

People like Tony Comstock (who made "Marie and Jack: A Hardcore Love Story") and all the people making "alternaporn" are already on this path. I can't wait for mainstream porn to embrace the concept of more "natural" sex scenes :)

Oh man - I've actually met people that think WWE wrestling is for real.

Of course, I live in Texas, so that may explain it. :D

Anyway, those are the people that are the target audience for "reality" TV and "reality" porn. Though there's nothing whatsoever wrong with reality porn that's actually hot, and some of it is.

I know of only one site off the top of my head that is somewhat of a "natural sex site" but then again maybe I'm somewhat biased towards seeing it that way because I "know" (more like know of/have heard a fair bit about) the couple featured.. lol

Oh it isn't just Texas, I know a couple people up here who are the same way about WWE wrestling... they give me funny looks when I tell them I'd rather watch Olympic Wrestling... its like they've never heard of it before.

reallity is great niche .. you only need good traffic :)

UW that was great, but no one will pat $30 a month to see a guy strike out, they already get that for free.

The reality sites coming out these days are getting rediculous ... it's not believable and that's why many sponsors are going to personality based sites. The success of BangBus and the like was because surfers actually think (or thought) it was real, personality based sites offer that sence of attainability and that's why we see so many coming out now.
