Swedguy's condo in Turning Torso is almost finished -- imagine the view he'll have then.

:)

It would be kinda nice to have a small office there. Not sure about the prices on them though. But I think I would be staring outside the window all day and not get shit done ;)

But an apartment is a tad higher than in the prime spots of the city, $1000 and the most expensive one is $3000 (huge penthouse). Ouch!

also have now a 2nd monitor, but don't know how to use it, what I have to do?

JohnnyR 2005-06-18 02:01 AM

You need to have a dual-monitor video card. Easy to figure out, just look at the exits, should look something like http://www.jigsaw24.com/proddesc.asp?ITEM=M135AHA

usually one of the exits is a digital one, so if your monitor isn't digital you're gonna need a cable adapter (there's usually one in the videoboard's kit if it has digital out). if at least one of the monitors has a digital entrance, then it's perfect (better quality, no adapter needed)

what you need to do then is plug both monitors in the card's outs and fire up windows. then, for nvidia you go into display properties/settings/advanced/geforce xxxx/nView display settings. you have different modes in which you can use it. single display (pick whichever monitor you want to be working on), clone (same thing is displayed on both monitors), vertical span (cuts the image in two, and places it one half over the other), horizontal span (pretty much the same just horizontally) and my personal favourite, dualview (it's like having two computers only better: u just drag&drop windows from one monitor to the other).

I'm not sure how it is with ati, but I remember setting it for a friend and it was pretty intuitional, you shouldn't have any problems there either.

hope this helps you out a bit...
