A big show (ie worth trans atlantic travel for) in New Orleans would kick ass.

A southern webmasters convention is a great idea. But how do we keep those yankee infiltrators from coming down here and guzzling up all the mint juleps and stealing all our barbeque secrets?

Well, I invaded the first Midwest meeting in Chicago. The Extreme guys and I talked about doing something in New Orleans at that meeting. We should do it. Those small meetings are valuable as far as networking and fellowship.

I have heard from many that the best meeting ever was the New Orleans on several years back.

That was the year that Internext was held in New Orleans - its a shame that it will never happen again - but with the people that plan these things locked into Vegas and Fla and the rates that they get - its got to be too profitable and New Orleans would not be :) Well - except for the webmasters that go to the shows - but of course - who are they? (no wonder so many people are boycotting the Fla show)
