Well - youre right about the domains names for free - up until 1995 or so they were free - then they had to start charging $100 per name for a 2 year reg. to support ICANN

And yes - they would definitely limit the numbers of certain toys to each store - although back then you also had something called rain-checks that would allow you to fill in a little form and when they got a new shipment you were guaranteed the price for that sale day - none of this new walmart-induced BS of only 5 per store at that price and thats it - of course the other factor is that back then we didnt have walmarts in very many cities - they didnt really expand till the 80s - and very few shopping malls - so everyone went to the department stores like Macys,Hechts or Sears and the crowds were amazing.

Instead of going shopping, wives (and husbands) should all stay home and buy porn from us. This way they save gas and avoid the crowds |thumb

It really started back in the 1930s when Macys started their parades to lure people into the store the day after thanksgiving with the floats of all the brand new toys for the current season.

In the mid and late 80's I had to go through that crap with He-Man (the trick they did there was have billions of everybody else and 5 He-Man figures) and then those damn Teenage Ninja Turtles (they always want a paticular one and no other TMNT would do). I remember one time a crowd of people just waiting in the asile and the guy just bringing out the open boxes and getting the hell out of the way.

I understand there's already been fights at two different walmarts. eek.

I never go out on black friday. This year, I'm gonna try to do my shopping online. To that end, I'm going to the spam board and spam my mainstream sites, so you shouldn't have to go outside your homes all season long!

As far as decorating goes, either tonight or tomorrow. Sunday--its the Hollywood Xmas Parade! Whee!

Wouldn't turkey, or at even a ham or a roast beef, have been better then a "whole lot of dogs and cats"?

I was going to bring some tofu goat but couldn't find any at the grocery store.

Long day of lawn mowing here...but it looks soooo much better now. Being that it's winter time here...I only have to mow every 2 weeks :D

I'm with ya Sue...80 degrees is perfect for me!

Oh, and in tradition with the holiday...BUUUUURP! Pardon me...compliments to the chef :D
