We can always have a look at what her and your Partner did to Cj's linklist site if someone in side DMOZ wanted documented proof of how those two act.

Figures - the only people who seem to think that there is nothing wrong with DMOZ tends to be editors and people who have editors for friends.

I requested access to "Adult" section a week ago and still wait the answer.

I was a domz editor for several years. The corruption and bullshit was so rampant I finally just said fuck it and resigned.

That whole fucking thing is a big joke.

MrYum 2005-12-03 01:53 PM

I tried to be an editor there...filled out the application...and received the rejection within 2 hours |crazy|

Kit, did you check your PM? The password is sent there. If there isn't a PM then post again on the request thread or PM windharp.

ODP_Jezebel 2005-12-04 05:56 AM

Whatever

Very interesting.

For the record, I don't have any webmaster friends - adult or otherwise.

'kit' - your problem with penisbot.com was long before my time. Contrary to what people may think (and let's face it, these people are usually bitter ex-editors or webmasters that have taken things too far), dmoz has a strict code of ethics. Corrupt behaviour, either on the part of the editors, or the part of the webmasters, isn't tolerated. Other metas and ODP administrators are aware of your grievance and are dealing with it as I post.

Unfortunately as the person that requested this information, then posted it, you've landed yourself in it again. And the editor who gave you that information knows only too well that he or she will be removed as an editor.

'opti' - get a life. You're an ex-editor for a reason.

How did you find this thread?

kenny 2005-12-04 08:07 AM

Hey,

ODP_Jezebel I have to ask

Why did you become a editor at DMOZ?

natalie 2005-12-04 03:49 PM

Don't you think that some people may become editors at Dmoz out of interest in helping to make it better?? There are plenty of dmoz editors that are not webmasters at all. They do it because it is satisfying and interesting work.
That is total bullshit that people only apply to edit in the category that they build sites for and only for their own gain. Just because you think thats the only reason you would do it do not assume everyone else in the world is as selfish as you.

I'm simply implying the level of corruption increases inside the directories when there is more to be gained.

Prehaps you should read this thread again - it's obvious the don't understand my position.

And for the record - I would not be a DMOZ editor to help make it better nor would I be a DMOZ editor to list my own sites.

I don't think it's worth my time either way.

Does it mean, I'll banned with all my current and future sites inside of DMOZ/Adult?

You know, there is not Opti.

PS. I have one rule as moderator on several sites (boards and directories):
I may dislike some people, but I always accept their sites, because this is a good sites.
