Speaking of which...For some reason, I am really good at taking tests. I am starting a class in law next semester and am going to take the bar exam soon after just to see what happens :)

Wish me luck :)

Now I am scared.

You know why Jersey got all the oil refineries and toxic waste dumps and New York got all the lawyers?

Cuz Jersey picked first.

Good luck, Jim. I know a guy who was an attorney in Massachusetts. When he and his rather boyish looking wife moved here he decided to become an accountant because the NY bar is so damned difficult. I think my attorney must have majored in table tennis before taking the LSAT. He is one of those guys who answers every question with "Hmmm. I'll have to get back to you on that." He either lacks confidence or knowledge. Probably both.

Do you think the stooge that works for the DOJ and is inspecting your website is going to take the time to check if the banner that shows a chick giving a guy a blowjob is actually hotllinked, or that the picture showing a girl that appears to be under age having anal sex is actually within an iframe and do you seriously think a judge would care if once it got to court you pointed out that fact?

Do you really want to be explaining to some feds sitting in your house that the picture they think is on your website is actually hosted somewhere else and isn't really on your website, it's just an illusion? And if they don't listen or don't care, do you really want to spend time and money defending yourself in court to prove your point just because some sponsor told you they THOUGHT it was okay?

I've talked to a lot of attorneys about 2257 and almost all of them think that hotlinking will be problematic.

The content is on your website for the world to see, and I don't care where it's hosted, if it looks like it's on your website, it's on your website.

Well if you noticed, I was asking the sponsors, who have very good lawyers, why they seem to feel that these options were viable, and not problematic. And since I don't see a law degree from you, I will wait wait for their comments.

As far as some "stooge" from the DOJ, I really don't care if he has the lowest form of monkey brain. The law is so fucked up that they don't even know what they are talking about. Hell, they don't even know what an IP is! Take a look at how their expert internet witness shot them down in the hearings.

Finally, since I spend way too much of my time explaining "facts" to lawyers and having them go and get laws changed that are messed up. I am quite willing to use real logic, and not some "song and dance", double-talking, latin quoting BS, that comes from most lawyers if I need to see a judge.
As somebody used to say: "Just the facts!"

Thank you for all the info and happy hoildays and all that shit but Wazza please don't jump all over my bum. I was not asking about live chat on my own site. I do no thave it there but would like to . I was wondering why a major spank site would "temporarily suspend live chat until we can comply with governement 2257 regulations" Anyway I am seeing a lawyer next week and any info I get that I think will be of interest I will share.
