Herculinks' brief adult links retirement

Herculinks.com doesn't support child pornography!

Herculinks.com briefly retired from the adult links business for about 6 -7 months.

Herculinks.com is officially back as an adult search engine and apologizes for any misunderstanding.

amadman 2006-07-22 06:14 PM

Shame on me.

Herculinks - That's almost certainly not going to happen here. You can't erase or rewrite the past on a whim (not here at least). If you want to set things straight, you'll need to stand tall and be willing to discuss whatever someone has said here. If things were said that aren't true, then it's in your best interest to clear the air. But just saying "sorry" and asking for the thread to go away won't cut it.

So...may as well open the discussion.

Here are a couple you can clarify right at the start.

Maybe it's just me, but it does seem you have those categories. Perhaps you got rid of the English pages but forgot the Spanish ones?

The screenshot below is to show they'e there right now.

Okay...your turn.

How can I make things better?

Ronnie,

I've honestly explained to you the reason why all link partners have been removed. Herculinks.com seriously retired from the adult link business for about 6 -7 months without the intention of returning. I've officially announced this notice in a live adult webmaster via IRC chat before retiring, |greenguy| and(or) |Jim are my witnesses.

How can I keep the peace and (or) repair this situation?

Herculinks 2006-07-22 08:41 PM

I don't have a problem policing any links that containing child porn, bestiality or incest. Please search through Herculinks.com and let me know if you find any other links that should be deleted.

Disclaimer: Please beware that 99.9% of our adult links are imported from a third party source, however I will personally delete links that should be deleted and weeded out. Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of Herculinks.com and you'll learn the source of the adult links.

Thank you for looking out!

I will check out the update and will read them more often from now on because I prefer to be more educated about the adult business.

Thank you!

Can I ask, are you the original owner of Herculinks?

Jim 2006-07-23 10:34 AM

That was a nice threatening email you sent us, Herculinks. I think you better "seek other alternatives" as you threated to do. We almost never remove threads and, it's only slander if the words written are not true. I have seen plenty of posts proving the accusations but none that have disproved them. One more thing just in case someone does slander you. You need to go after the person that did the slandering, not the medium they used to do it.

BTW, posting in a live chat room that has no archive is not exactly rock solid evidence that anyone said anything.

MrYum 2006-07-23 01:13 PM

Okay...how did I miss the news release that the gates were left open at the laughing academy this weekend???

There is no fight or war here. This thread was started because you had a links lists and you traded links with quite a few people including myself and you took down all those links without telling any one, as proven by natalie post of the achive link. As said, annoucing in a chat room, does'nt mean every one knew what was going on. I did'nt see a post on the board.

The thread was brought up again because they were "back in business" and e-mailed me about trades (kind of ironic really), I was just letting people know and for those that might not have see the thread when it was started, to beware as you took down trades before without letting your trade partners know.

There is no peace to be made, I have no problems, I just wont trade with you again. Of course others are free to trade with you all they want, that is their choice, and of course none of my business. I simply alerted others to the situation.

You could have repaired the situation by posting in this thread what happened and appologize to the people who had traded with you. There was no misunderstanding, you took down trades which is not the best thing to do in this biz. You sure dont repair situations by calling slander or threatening. Simon already said it..:)

Ronnie,

I consider the link trading issue closed and a lesson learned.

P.S. Add your links to the Hercules Porn® adult directory.

Peace,
Herc

Jim,

I have more serious things to take care of. Dealing with Venus is more serious at this time.

Herc's a lova and not a fighta!

Yes, I'm the original creator and owner of Herculinks since 2001.

It's the responsibilty of everyone to monitor link partners and if someone removes your link, don't get upset, simply remove their link and move on.

Fact:
In the past, I've experienced other webmasters who have removed my link without notice and simply removed their link. There's no need to nark or slander them because website owners reserves the right to change their scope of business at anytime with or without warning, unless you are a contributing investor or business partner.

This is business and not high school.

swedguy 2006-07-23 09:11 PM

If both parties agree to do a link exchange and then later one party decides to break this agreement, I think it's common courtesy to inform the other party that the deal is off.

Your view is respected. If BOTH parties conditionally agreed to inform each other of a link removal, then it's NOT fair to remove a link without notice. I've made no such agreement with anyone and no webmaster has made a link exchange agreement with me, so it would NOT be a wise idea for me to nark or slander them, especially in public.

You gotta be shittin me |loony|

His 'view' is the same view as every other link list owner I know. I don't have formal notification agreements with any of my link trades, but I'll damn sure inform them if there's ever a reason to yank their links. And I'd damn sure expect the same business courtesy in return. Think of it as actually knowing who you're trading with and respecting them...interesting concept...huh?

Herc, good luck on getting new trades man. I wouldn't touch you with the proverbial 10 foot pole. You've made it abundantly clear your business ethics are weak at best and downright scummy as worst.

Sooo, let's recap...you yank link trades without notice. AND you list beast, pedo, incest crap. Oh wait...you didn't know that was there...because you DON'T check your links! You expect others to search your site to find the illegal crap so you can remove it |crazy|

Wow...simply fuckin wow |loony|

Helluva day on the board Greenie :D

Herculinks 2006-07-23 10:50 PM

I'm done repeating myself...

I wish you all success in your endeavors and will not reply to this thread regardless of what anyone has to say.

Peace,

I think it's great that one webmaster took the time to post & let others know about the removal of the links - that's one of the great things about this board: we watch each other's back.
