So far, my galleries have been averaging about 200 hits in their first 10 days. I KNOW this is low... for sure... but I do not know what is wrong! Is is just simply a combination of gallery layout, graphics, and text that is causing my galleries to not get posted or is it domain popularity or something like that?

Going off topic here but....

I would suggest that you have a go at making a couple of free sites and submitting to the link lists from people you find posting on the board here and compare results.

You'll be able to ask many of the link list owners direct questions about your sites via this board if rejected and use that to build up your knowledge and experience.

You obviously know how to make a webpage and, really, a free site is not much different to two galleries linked in succession to two other pages. I cant see it taking that much longer to build and submit. I've never dabbled with TGP galleries, as when I first started I compared the two and came to the conclusion that free sites would be more my preference.

The number of hits (uniques presumably?) you've received does seem very low. I made a none mirrored free site which I submitted to just 12 link lists exactly 10 days ago too:

Results so far:

Number of acceptances so far from link lists: 8 - although I'm receiving traffic from 10 different sites, some webmasters will add your site to their other ll's too. I'm hoping the ones that havent listed me yet are just behind with reviews, and I'll get listed with them too soon.

Number of uniques visiting the site: 2098

Number of clicks thru to sponsor:135 (not a good ratio I know)

Number of sales: 1

The thing is though, while current sales are not a lot to shout about, with lots of text for the search engines this site could be making sales to come for years, long after I forgot about the couple of hours it took to build and submit.

Strangely, the first free site I ever made 18 months ago made 2 sales this month and is getting around a 100 uniques a day just from SE's. I think that one site has made me in the region of 20 sales since it was built. Galleries, to me seem shortlived by comparison.

Have a go at building a free site and see how your traffic compares, but dont forget to leave the counter off ;)

I had made one and submitted it to 15 link lists... but it didnt get many acceptances I guess. The link is:

I know that the second gallery is problematic due to the fact that the images are all very similar. Also, do the images in the two galleries have to be of the same series?
