But a post like "fuck you......Piss in your tea" is an insult to everyone who visits this board, you are not just insulting me you are urinating in their playground as well. If you want to swear at me, feel free to PM me, I do read all PM's. It is just as effective (or ineffective) as posting on the board, but that way 'innocent parties' don't have to read it.

Fuck you - go piss in your tea.

You aren't new here. If you've read my posts and found my manner expression in poor taste in the past, then you could have said something then. But no - it's only wrong when I say it to you. And how anyone else on this board would take it as an insult towards them is beyond my scope of comprehension. I did, after all, say "You know what, ecchi - fuck you."

EDIT: Oh! Top sig placement on page 2. ;)

See I always thought it meant that we list your sites at our discretion, I guess I must have read too much into that.

Once on a site that listed everything I submitted, so presumably this was a joke, and all the other sites that said it (or something similar) sent so little traffic when they did list that I now take it to mean "I'm a newbie, don't bother to submit unless you have a lot of time on your hands"

From Greenie's rules page: "27. If we just plain do not like the site (this happens when I'm in a bad mood)"

I guess the green part of his refers to him being new at this whole linklist thingy.

Awesome, must be why I won $125 when the Steelers won the Superbowl.

Actually when I used to submit to a ton of linklists I used to grab LL names off of the Resource page here and on occassion SecurityMan's trade script that runs on the bottom of submit pages. Unless something has drastically changed in the last year, I guess those are the only completely safe places to choose Linklists from, which is cool because I'm listed on the resource page here. |thumb

Oh, and Useless Warrior is amazingly sexy and witty. I just thought I'd add my two cents about him here.

{edit - swapped in greenie's new nickname instead of his old one} ;)

Ok, so Up top you guys were saying I need to link my own gallerys and not to the free hosted gallerys. I get that, and I am going to make some changes. Now I saw something that kind of confuses me. Mr Yum has a great new site http://www.free-porn-post.com/ but looking at it I noticed that the index page leads to a kind of sales page I would call it and no gallerys are on the actual site. It leads directly to the membership sites tour. Am I wrong. His site is awsome but I am confused by the difference in set up as far as what leads where? It was my intention to do this kind of setup. I am not so sure I did, but what is the difference? Aside from looks cause that is way better then mine I will be the first one to say..

cockhungryhoes 2006-07-26 12:16 PM

I do know mine turned out like a gallery page, and his is a free site I am not that lost. Is that the difference. Test links vs images?

MrYums site is a link list, your site is a hub, basically some pages with advertising. No LLs will list a hub.

Start building quality freesites and submit them to LLs. When you have a few hundred you can start thinking about converting your hub to a full fledged link list.

Lemmy 2006-07-26 01:25 PM

Oh yeah, one more thing. Don't assume that all advice you get is good advice...

Actually, you just need to scroll down a bit further...all new free site listings are on that page...as well as on their respective category pages :)

And yes, there is a big difference between a link site and a hub. In general terms, a hub is where you list your own sites...think of it as an internal link list. Of course, you'll have some ads on the page(s) of your hub.

A link list is a site that lists other peoples sites...that have been submitted/reviewed. A link site of course will also have some ads to make money for the link site owner. In the case of my new design, I specifically chose to not run sponsor banners on the site for now. Instead, I'm using links to 'premium' sites as well as mixing in some sponsor hosted free sites :)

cockhungryhoes 2006-07-26 05:37 PM

So a "hub" is a free site, thats purpose is to start generating traffic. If any money is made its from the surfers clicking on the ad's?

I'd advise you not to listen to that advice! :D

Seriously dude, just stop. I'm as willing as the next guy to pass on information, but you have to do some research on your own.

This board is filled with threads about free-sites and linklists that list free-sites. Go to any linklist you see here and click on some of the free-sites. Search the board for definitions of hubs. You should note that what the industry actually considers a "free-site" is not just a free porn site. There's a structure there, learn it.

Learn the definitions, research. Research some more. Then come back and ask some questions about what you can't figure out or find. You'll get a lot more respect that way. No one wants to just hand you everything, because we've worked hard to learn everything we have and build everything we've built.

Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough about why I objected to your post, both you and a couple of other people seemed to have misunderstood what I meant:

I was NOT saying that I felt personally offended by your post, or by being told to 'piss in my tea'. You are entitled to your opinion, and I have a worse said to me. The point I was making was that just posting comments like that rather than making a point is beneath this board. I would not have objected if you had said something like "Ecchi you are (insert favourite insult here) because when you say......you do not realise that....". Just posting "You know what, ecchi - fuck you. I'm not in the mood to argue. I'm right. You're wrong. Piss in your tea." is the sort of response you see on some boards, but not usually here. The reason I said it was "an insult to everyone who visits this board" was not because they may be offended that you used these words, but because this ain't that kind of board.

I'm going to ask cd34 to check VBulletin for bugs. No way can you have 767 posts here and be surprised that I would respond that way. :D

Take note that I wasn't at all offended or insulted by:

I'm still not in the mood to argue the original point though. I'm shocked that you didn't realize that that is pretty much a general policy amongst mature link lists, but I don't give two (or even one) shit(s) whether or not you agree with it.

I never said I was surprised by it, just disappointed by it.
