Cleo that really pisses me off about all the winter clothes in the store also. Went to buy my grandson some more shorts and tees.....I could find them but only by digging threw racks of clothes on clearance. Had some cute sweaters and jackets up front though, a little to hot to put him in long pants and a jacket.....

I've lost 20 lbs so far this year and most of may stuff is just way too big on me. It kind of pisses me off that all the jeans I've bought this year are way too big on my but I'm happy to have lost the weight but now I need stuff that fits me.

I just want some jeans and some tank tops but the stores seem to think I need clothes for a long cold winter. We have what three and a half days of chilly weather?

Now I have a reason to hit the malls again but this time I'm hitting the outlet malls like the Sawgrass mall.

Crazy weekend finally came to an end yesterday, over the weekend my brother went to jail for a DUI, yesterday was his court date and since it was his first offense they let him out for time served and all he has is informal probabation for a year and has to go to drug and alcohol classes, and a victim's impact thingie. Funny thing is the night before he got arrested I was out with him and I kept insisting that I drive because he obviously had some drinks before he even came and picked me up at my house he said over and over again that he was fine, and I gave him the speech about it doesnt matter if you can pass the sobriety test, if you blow in that machine and your over the legal limit your done. And it aint gonna take much to get his little 140 pound ass over the legal limit. Turns out that next night he got pulled over for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign on some little side road in town. He said they gave him the sobriety test and he passed it just fine, then when they gave him the blow test he was at a .10 and the limit here is .08. I just hope that this has taught him his lesson. He's always broke and half the time his car is broke down and I always let him drive our spare junker truck that I just use to haul shit around in, just a few months ago I had to tell him that he cant drive our vehicles any more because I knew he was drinking and driving all the time.

I guess I woke up with a wild hair up my ass this morning, because when I was getting ready to get in the shower I was looking in the mirror and decided it was time for a hair cut. I shaved my big ass long goatee off and shaved my head completely bald. Now I guess its time to get some actual work done :)

I hear ya there, over the last year I have lost over 100 pounds (135 pounds total). I cant even come close to even trying to wear my old fat clothes now, I have got all new summer clothes, but when the cold Indiana winter hits I am gonna be fucked, all I have is one pair of jeans that will fit me, and I just got those 2 weekends ago. My wife's mom and grandma had a garage sale last month and my wife sold all my fat jeans, just for fun I tried on one of my old size 48 jeans and in the extra material I put my 3 year old daughter and my almost 2 year old son on each side of me and walked around the house with both of them riding along, haha. The pair of jeans I did get the other week were size 36, but I gotta wear a belt to keep those from falling off my ass, so I guess I am gonna need 34's now.

Congratulations! Truly an impressive endeavor. How did you do it?

Wow congrats to Cleo and Mr Exotic on the weight loss |thumb

Yeah outlet malls is probably a good idea. I went online after my first post and found some good buys for Josh also! I spent more than I normally do plus have to pay for shipping. But the clearance racks make me nuts, it's got to many clothes on them and the sizes are all mixed up......|angry|

Mr Exotic sorry to hear about your brother. We have learned in this house that sometimes they only learn the hard way. Hope he gets his act together as I know how stressful that can be. |thumb

Now I'm moving to the woods permanently. Got an offer on a house here that I could not refuse ;)

I hit them with my car. Not good at all. But fortunately, everything went ok :)

Well I'll tell ya the biggest thing is now when we go grocery shopping we dont even go down the junk food aisle. I quit drinking pop and just drink water now. And I usually only eat 1 meal a day. And to help with energy and food cravings I take 3 25mg ephederine pills a day. And I try to stay as active as possible, which is hard sometimes being a full time webmaster, I play in 3 softball leagues and have been doing alot of work around the house this summer, not to mention mowing and taking care of my grandma's property which is almost 3 acres (my grandpa died almost 3 years ago of cancer). My wife has also lost something like 90 pounds now since our son was born, she started losing weight first, so that motivated me too.

Kewl :)
That is a whole lot of weight. You must feel much better. :)

I was doing good last year but then the first part of this year I started putting weight back on when I relaxed about my eating habits. I seem to be back on track now.

I've stopped eating the huge portions that are served at restaurants and now box up about half of all the entrees to eat later or now or just order a very light meal like a salad or soup.

I only buy low cal easy to prepare food for my house.

No junk food.

This is a hard one for me because I spend a lot of time with my rich neighbor who lives on chips, cookies, and dinning out. I've learned to eat something before spending time with him so that I don't start snaking of his junk food or order fating stuff at restaurants.

Never been much of a drinker but having a few drinks a few times a week really seems to put weight on me so I've cut out my social drinking almost altogether.

Increased my gym time to two hours every other day.

I'm still about ten pounds over what I consider my idea weight but I'm also more muscular then I've ever been from all the gym I'm doing.

You know.. i always found that odd in Florida especially in the Miami/Fll/WPI and southward. I used to go about 1 or 2 a month to Miami on business... one time my luggage was delayed and i had no swimming suit to wear.. went to a mall thinking i'd have no trouble..it was freaking end of July.. NOT one suit ..none.. but sweater sets galore.. i said to the clerk where are your bathing suits..she said..oh we have our fall clothing out. I broke out laughing..

Likewise here in Vegas where the very coldest its ever been is like 32 degrees in mid January.. we have coats, with furry things around them, wooly mitten and muffs all out on the shelves. Someone in these corporate merchandising offices isn't paying attention.

OH..and that 20lbs you lost, Cleo.. i found it.. its on my left hip.. want it back?? :D

I went that route about 10 years ago, but found ephedrine made me cranky after 3-4 days. Not to mention the obvious health effects, though 100lbs of fat is just as punishing to the body.

I recall snow in Vegas a couple of years ago. I got quite the giggle watching the city come to a complete stop, since people clearly don't know how to deal with it. Even the airport shut down.

Cleo 2006-08-23 02:34 PM

We have two seasons here. One is hot and humid for a third of the year and then other is just fucking beautiful with a few very cool days.

I panic when I have to go someplace cold. I don't know how to deal with it. Plus I don't own anything warm and I find the cold extremely uncomfortable and painful.

I wonder who actually buys the winter clothes that are sold here this time of year?

People with thin blood.

Cleo 2006-08-23 03:34 PM

Yeah nothing like putting on some nice warm clothes and a thick sweater then spending some time sunny at the beach.

Congrats on your weightloss, great job :D

I love ephedra. I don't need to lose weight but my blood pressure is abnormally low so it helps me with work, concentration, fatigue and even breathing and allergies. I mean when I get some, ran out of it long ago.
