I have contacted Hoes through the forum hoping that they reply. I really have seen this style used all over the net, Netpond and Pornosubscription are two even Link-o-rama are using a version of it. Surely it is just a table with two different rows of text linking to two different parts of your site?

I assure you if it is stolen I will gladly take it down.

Are you blind? Most of us link list owners use a colored table with a couple of links within it as our recip, but you are using a copy of Hoe's with one color changed. Any free site submitter or link list owner can look at your recip and KNOW that it's Hoe's without looking at the code as I have.

And I assure you that IT IS STOLEN. I'm not going to continue to argue with you about this, but I am going to remember your name.

Take a closer look at the HTML source code. It's pretty damn obvious that Hoes.com recip coding was copied and a few minor color changes made.

SaucyPanties 2006-12-01 09:54 AM

But isn't it just a table with two lines of text? I cannot see the problem in all honesty, it is like anyone having a table on their site and saying to someone else you are copying because you have a table?? Is code for table insertion not all very much the same, I am not being awkward here but I am failing to see it is a copy. Look at the source code for most peoples tables and I would assume very much the same...

Either way the easiest thing is for me to remove it so I have done so. It was code supplied for me, they said not copied I cannot swear to that so it is a pointless argument when the simple alternative is to just delete.

Sorry if it offended anyone

I take your word for it, I have removed it. You seem to be getting too personal about it, like I said no harm was intended, I won't be the first one to use help on a script or site addition and be accused of stealing. At least I have done something about it, not hardly the crime of the century like hot linked to someone elses videos or images and what is the I shall remember your name comment meant to mean?

It's not just a table as you keep putting it, of course every one and any one can use a table. The problem is, which I'm sure you can see, though your not admiting it, it's almost the exact table as hoes, with just one color change. Right down to the *'s in the code, who else uses those? You probably see it all over the net because many people submit to hoes and put up "their" recip.

Can I suggest http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html they allow adult sites, give you 2TB of transfer on their basic package and they increase this by a 16gb a week that you stay with them (a loyalty thing).

Tina

2 Terabytes in their basic package? Damn I feel insignificant!

ya, everything I can find on dreamhost seems mostly positive but deals like that...there has to be something wrong. I learned a long time ago if it seems to good to be true....it probably is.

So far I have moved 5 domains over to the one hosting package. I wish I had found them long ago. They are recommended by wordpress.com and my husband told me about them when other adult webmasters put the suggestion forward at an adult forum called beer & bollocks. There are lots of adult webmasters joining these guys, tech support is also superb. Keep them bookmarked and maybe give them a try on a new project first and gradually move a few domains over to them?

Hmm... their service plans don't offer unique IP's unless you go with the level four plan... but that's still pretty damn cheap.

Forgive me but what would the downside of not having unique IP's be please?

I know you were...but that really is something I have had to teach myself to do, cut down on the amount of text.

As long as they configure their virtual hosting correctly, probably next to nill, if anything at all. I was just thinking out loud. :D
