A week? Absolutely too soon. Try it for a year or try another biz. Or another part of this biz. There was a time when you could get rich quick in this biz, but that was many winters ago, and it took months at least, even in the Golden Years, and depended on making very few serious mistakes, and working very long hours.
It will take longer now.

Not expecting to get rich quick, but I was hoping for at least one sale to show for it by now.

Still, 700 sponsor uniques isn't enough to tell you if the sponsor is good or not, or if your free sites will sell or not... getting accepted at link lists doesn't always mean that the site will sell also.

Would it be wise/unwise to make gallery and AVS versions of my existing freesites? Because galleries take very little time compared to freesites and I've been reading lately that AVS do better than freesites.

To clarify, I'm talking about making three versions of each content set I design: A freesite, an AVS and a gallery.

you can make AVS only with your own content (bought pictures), not sponsor's.

galleries is a totally different story than free sites.

When did that rule come around? All I used was sponsor content for a long time.

Depends on the sponsor and the content.

I'm a sponsor - and I allow AVS sites to use a limited amount of my content - but I require them to leave the watermark on. Pull the watermark, and the cunt that calls herself my attorney might get let out of her cage.

I figure if someone like the 30 or 40 mid quality pics that they see on the AVS site, one or two of them just might find their way to the pay site – I know that over the years, I have checked many sites that I later joined by tracking down the water marks. One of the programs that I now sponsor was found this way just last week.
