Cleo. Zion I have never heard of but your photos of red rock canyon look nice. I'll have to make a list of places to see for the next trip. It will be a damn site cheaper than staying in the casinos :D

Another good one is Valley Of Fire, just outside Vegas, I have some pics that I will post soon. And the Grand Canyon, the first time I went my knees buckled; just unbelievable, I don't care what pictures you've seen or what you think of it, when you see it, WOW, it will blow your mind.

Good fucking again toothpain fryday|shocking| its 4:30 midday here and the sun is shining but bad weather on his way, we get hot weather the next days but with tons of rain and thunder, so its realy time to shoot the weatherman.

BlueBrit:

Here is Zion

Valley of Fire (of course Emmy will rag on me for the "food" pics)

Hoover Dam (not many)

Zion is actually a nice trip.. about 9 hours via bus round trip. Grand Canyon is about 12 hours and depending on your mode of transport, can be kind of loooong.

Red Rock is about 30 minutes from the strip and quite nice in the fall/winter/spring. In the summer, it's well the desert..and boiling.

I've literally only been awake for a few minutes. I've been staying up way too late because I have sooooo many projects which take me in soooo many directions. You know how it is. You get an idea for a site, so you begin searching for scripts and hacks, but you find a couple of other gems along the way and start researching them as well. It all snowballs until you have no idea what you originally set out to do. Joy |loony|

Spent yesterday finishing up some major coding for a project. Noticed that one application engine I want to use has had some updates -- they still haven't fixed their documentation with the submissions my nephew and I have sent in. But, its promising. I have yet to run into a showstopper bug -- just inordinate amounts of time to find the answer.

Putting the final checklist together for my other project so that I can make sure things work as they get down to the wire. When I started this, I didn't have a particular end-date in mind until someone mentioned something the other day. Now, the push is on to see if I can get things finished -- and I think its easily possible, but, I want to make sure I have everything documented so I can tackle each issue one by one.

After fighting more wordpress woes I briefly thought about forking wordpress at 2.5.1 and maintaining a security patch only port -- no new features. When I investigated their bugtracker, I realized that even their bug fixes are mixed in with feature changes making that process almost impossible. And, wordpress appears to hide security fixes in obscure bug fixes.

Didn't realize it was Friday already -- where did the week go.

Hope everyone has a profitable day.

That is exactly my problem, and I can never finish what I set originally to do. |banghead|

Morning All! I've got a guy coming over at 11:30 to build a website for a group, and he likes to chat, that will blow my entire middle of the day as far as getting work done, lol. Oh well, for a good cause.

RedRock, if they would have XBiz when it isn't middle of the summer, has some wonderful hiking trails too. I love the one where you hike back to the falls, yes an actual waterfall. :D

Also Death Valley is weirdly barren/beautiful. And the Furnace Creek Resort is a true oasis in the desert and would be a beautiful place to spend the night. But NOT the place to go in July, lol.

Might also want to check out Mount. Charleston, then stop at the lodge. A lot cooler up there in the summertime. |thumb Reminds me of the woods around Payson AZ, you turn a corner in the road and you are in a forest. It is pretty cool.

And if you like to drive fast cars on a track, our Spring Mountain Motor Sports here in Pahrump is pretty killer. |thumb

Morning!

Thanks to all the tour guides here :D I saw some great places to go visit and some beautiful pictures.

Cleo you cracked me up good with the "kiddy steering wheels" comment that gets a 10!

Glad your up and feeling better TekAngel!

Have a nice day and great weekend all |thumb

All of the places mentioned sound great and you have some lovely photos but I won't have time to do them all in a few days. I think the best bet is to wait until the next vegas show and if were going I will ask for suggestions of places to visit depending on the time of year. I have no problem hiking but I can't see Emmy wanting to go off on some trail for hours at a time and i don't blame her in that heat.

justbondage 2008-07-25 12:32 PM

Hey all!

Done absolutely nothing today, been so lazy! Gonna make up for it by working through the weekend!

Good morning

Useless 2008-07-25 03:41 PM

Well, it's now past 3:30 in the afternoon, I'm still in my dirty undies and I just purchased a big pack of content even though I never put a join page on the paysite that I built with my last content purchase. Oh yeah - that's why I'm so unbelievably successful and the rest of you dream of me licking your faces. |thumb

You know what you could do Les is fly to Phoenix in the early A.M. and Emmy fly to Vegas. Then get Tek Angel (or me if I haven't moved) to pick you up. You could hit Sedona, Grand Canyon, Kingman, Hoover Damn and be in Vegas by dinner time

NY Jester 2008-07-25 05:31 PM

I did ask them why it was such a damn pretty dam.

Torn Rose 2008-07-25 05:43 PM

We didnt take the time to go see the dam, but we really want to go back to Zion and the Grand Canyon sometime soon, so I'm sure we will save all of our dam questions and ask them after the dam tour.
